Worth to get AWU3 for $630 now?
There’s currently a sale where I can get an AWU3 for $630 (retail is $900 where I live), which is about 30% off.
I’m wondering if it’s worth buying now, or if AWU prices typically drop by more than 30% once the next generation is released (likely in around 3 months).
For context, I’m currently using an Series 8, so this wouldn’t be a first smartwatch.
I don’t really care about having the latest model.
I’m fairly budget-conscious, so I don’t mind waiting if it means getting a significantly better deal.
My main reason for upgrading is that I’d like a watch that can also function as a recreational dive computer instead of buying a dedicated dive computer that I’d only use once or twice a year. I have a diving trip coming up in August, so it would be nice to have my own dive computer instead of relying on rental units.
Besides diving, I mainly use my watch for hiking, workouts, and everyday wear.
Is it worth to get the AWU3 at this price, or wait for the AWU4 launch and hope for a bigger discount? I’d especially appreciate hearing from anyone who has tracked AWU pricing after new releases.
