After finishing USA v Costa Rica in Round 1, the broadcast went to a break even though the other matches were still ongoing (they just decided not to show them for some reason unlike the other CCs), and I kid you not the break lasted 1 hour and 10 minutes with no updates or anything, just the intermission screen (which ironically showed "coverages continues shortly" on screen lmao). Then, when the break finally ended, the second round had already started and they just cut to the game and the casters talking like nothing happened. There was no explanation or anything to describe why I just had to look at an intermission screen for an hour. It's absolutely crazy how a tournament with this high a magnitude can have errors to this scale. Even the SAM & Africa CCs had really bizarre production mistakes that would never happen in any other major tournament.

There have been perfect sweeps on LAN in the past, but I don't remember one that was quite as devastating as what GM8s did to 5F in this series. Just to put it in perspective, GM8s had more goals (16) than 5F had shots (13), plus the aforementioned 0 goals scored by 5F. I know SSA has never been competitive versus top teams before, but this performance was legitimately embarrassing even for the low expectations they already have
