Insurance won’t cover Cancer treatment

Hello,

I rarely share things like this, but my step-mother in law has been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer called Leiomyosarcoma, that’s attacking the soft tissue in her arm. It requires surgery and chemo radiation.

She’s a resilient and strong person, working as a nurse in Virginia. With her family currently in Ukraine going through the terrors there. They’re unable to help her financially. Her only family here is us, her husband and her daughter. So we’re doing what we can here. Her faith in God has continued to keep her steady.

Unfortunately, her employers insurance does not cover any medical costs for cancer treatments. With that devastating news to our family they have to pay $60,000 upfront. So I’m posting her gofundme link for anyone with the kindness to support.

My husband Peter and I have already given $1,000 to his dad during these turbulent times but that only feels like a drop in this bucket.

There’s so many things we wish we could do and pray for. But this is what we can do for now and share it with others.

We will be celebrating the 4th of July with them in Washington, DC and do what we do best which is cooking a lovely meal and having much needed family quality time.

I attached a few of the medical bills that will be the first of many.

LLC registration

It looks like the company that owns Cascade Equinox did file for an LLC renewal within the last 2 weeks. So hopefully that’s promising news. But it’s odd not to have a line up yet. I know that nowadays it’s much more expensive to run a fest. So hopefully they can share an update soon.
