For me, I personally like Sally the best: mostly because she's a total wreck. "You want to choke me?! Well, choke on this!", so the ending of the show respected my preferences.

I was expecting the son, at the end, after watching the movie that was made about his dad, to say to his friend, "no, it didn't happen that way at all", but maybe that would have been a bad idea to contradict the movie from his perspective.

It's just a matter of interpretation: i'm reading after watching every episode that the show was supposed to have 5 seasons but got canceled due to budgeting concerns and loss of interest in the later seasons.

However, the impression I got from the ending, with Dolores returning the fantasy world to the wild west and saying:

"...one last loop around the bend..."

was that she is starting the West World game from the beginning in her fantasy. But what exactly were they intending to do with season 5, to "really" wrap up the show?
