Nick could have gotten the carrot pen sooner in Z1?

I keep thinking about how effortlessly Nick got the necklace from the bear baroness, seemed like just another walk in the park for him.

Given this, what do you think actually happened in the first movie? Did he try to get the pen back multiple times without success off-screen? Or was he somewhat willing to tag along with Judy, whether to actually help or just to annoy the bunny?

The duo's shenanigan

Credit to LizzyFantasy again for another cute short of these two!

Of course it'd be Nick who started the silly and got Judy to do it with him, and of course the two mascots needed to hold paws the entire time :)

Nicholas Yearner Wilde

I need him to meet Judith Yearner Hopps in Z3 cause the times we saw one of them doing these faces, they were not exactly looking at the other.

Two things:

  1. He would make for an excellent actor. Effortlessly switching between a savage beast and an orange dog in just seconds.

  2. If Zootopia had a higher rating, the fight would have been brutal, knowing that Nick's ready to go all out even with his life just so he could have a chance to save Judy.

Here's the handsome orange dog with his signature smug!

I had this piece sketched out in like July or August last year when we got the first glimpses of them in the gala but only recently got time to finish it. At the time I imagined Nick would be looking at her like this the entire time and yep, sure enough, he couldn't take his eyes off her the whole gala :)

Art by cori愿 over on X!

I was lowkey disappointed knowing that the flirtatious expression Nick had at the lodge was not for Judy (still it made for a great laugh!), since I had been hoping for that the moment the trailer dropped lol.

But imagine if this instead. . .
