The NYC District Council of Carpenter's is looking for EXPERIENCED Carpenter's. So either you worked Non Union, you do Carpentry work on the side, or you're just a Hobbyists in the field. We are looking for hard working individuals that want to make a better life and future for themselves and their families. We are currently looking for Floorcoverers(installing Carpet, VCT, LVT, Flashcove, etc)General Carpentry(Framing, Sheetrock, Millwork, Concrete, etc) and Specialized Aspects like Millworker, Dockbuilder, and Timberman. Moving forward each interested person MUST have a Vaild Social Security number since the contractors use the i9/e-verify system for each worker. After your information is collected reviewed and verified, you will be contacted by the NYCDCC to come down and demonstrate your skills, meet with contractors, and compete for employment opportunities. IF you have already applied to become an Apprentice for the NYCDCC, this way will not help you UNLESS you're already experienced in the field.You will have to wait until they get back to you about joining the Union. Right to the point Brother's and Sister's. NYC along with the outer boroughs are experiencing a Huge Construction boom(I know, right), and we are looking for Skilled Carpenter's to join us while we weather this great opportunity. Before I start the offering this opportunity with local skilled Carpenter's(Open-Shop, Hobbyists etc) I want to offer this opportunity to my fellow Union Brother's and Sister's first. The timeline we are going with is Floorcoverers first, then come mid to late July, even August General Carpentry(Framing, Sheetrock, Woodworking, Storefronts, even furniture, etc).
