I came across this on another sub. The Lit Society compiled a list of the 100 biggest yearners of all time in fiction.

Your boy Rozanov came in at number 7!

And Mr Real Estate Hollander came in at number 16!

Anyone else love that they’re the same height and have a similar body type?

In the books Ilya is supposed to be 6’3 and Shane 5’10. And Ilya is supposed to look older than Shane (even though he’s younger) and also be more muscular (I think?).

But I actually really love that they’re the same height and have a similar body type in the show.

Edit: just to clarify on what I mean when I say ‘similar body type’ Obviously their bodies are not exactly the same but they are both muscular and non slim, with Ilya having more definition. But looking at that picture of them hugging, their bodies don’t look vastly different, in my opinion. That’s what I meant. Shane is not, for example, a skinny guy with no muscle tone. They are both around 200 - 220lb with muscle.

It makes them seem even more like equals, and that they are a perfect fit for each other. They don’t need to tilt their heads up or down to reach each other’s mouths when they kiss. They can look at each other in the eyes easier. I love when their noses touch. When they hug they fit together like a puzzle.

Edit: and to also clarify when I said ‘even more like equals’ I mean they’re already equal in terms of age, profession, the amount of money they make etc. Their height being the same is just another thing *visually* that adds to all the equality in their relationship.

Also it just looks aesthetically pleasing and satisfying to me lol.

What non-spicy scenes/lines/moments do you find hot?

Now, we all know this show is hot! Particularly because of the sizzling chemistry between and great acting from Hudson and Connor.

It’s safe to say the kissing scenes and the ‘spicy’ (as Connor would say) scenes are hot. They’re relevant to the story but we’re also supposed to find them hot. And we do!🥵

But what about other scenes or lines or moments that are hot when they weren’t necessarily supposed to be? There’s just maybe something about the way the actor says the line or does the thing that makes it hot to you.

A few of mine just off the top of my head:

- I mentioned this in a previous thread but Shane’s ‘warning’ tone. “JJ…” “Rose…” “Mom…” “Ilya…”

- In the grilling burgers scene when Shane says “leave me alone”, the way Ilya says “no”.

- Ilya’s hoarse voice at times on the ice.

- That slow motion face off in episode 5 when they smile at each other and tap their sticks.

- Shane on the phone to Rose and he says “ma’am, I’m at my parents’ house, so…” (it’s my current flair!)

- Ilya’s slow motion walk into the club where it only shows the back of his head and shoulders.

Random Reheat Thoughts

Anyone got any random thoughts they want to share during or after a reheat but feel like it doesn’t deserve a whole thread?

Or maybe even takes/observations/opinions that haven’t been discussed or explored much?

I have one so I thought I’d make this thread 😄.

I really like when Shane uses that warning tone. Like when he’s on the phone to JJ when JJ invites him to the restaurant and he goes, “JJ…” or when he’s talking to Rose while he’s at his parents house and he goes, “Rose…” And he even does it to his mum at one point in the coming out to his parents scene. I like the way he does it and find it hot 😬.

Oki I’m done.

‘Mr Real Estate’ and other Ilya words and phrases

Anyone else love the way he says this?

Something about how deep his voice sounds and the way he rolls the ‘r’ and stresses on the ‘t’ sounds so satisfying (and hot!) to me. Not to mention the fact that he’s shirtless with his hands in his pockets doing that sexy walk as he says it!

It lives rent free in my head lol. My husband works in real estate so I’ve started calling him that, in Ilya’s voice, of course 😂.

Some more of my fave Ilya words and phrases include (but are not limited to):

- Montreal goes home crying, please, please
- Hollander you are having panic attack
- Then you cut it in half. What you can’t do math?
- Shut your idiot face, Marleau/ never in life have I blushed, Russians do not do this
- Mr business man, Mr landlord
- Is someone chasing you?
- You are homeless?
- Shane: now the bed’s all dirty. Ilya: vhat?🤨 shut up
