Hi everyone, I currently have a Nikon prostaff 5 8x42. I primarly do birding with it. There is nothing wrong with in my opinion just have the bug and want an upgrade. I don't really have a lot of options around where I live that I can test so I am asking your opinion. I want to upgrade to something like a vortex viper series bino.

If you were in my shoes which of the following would you get and why:

8x42.

maybe difference in quality justifies this choice.

10x50

what I am currently leaning towards since its a bit more magnification

12x50

shaky from what I've read but might be manageable
