I honestly don’t know if I have puppy blues or just an incredibly difficult puppy.

We have a 14-week-old English Cocker Spaniel (our first dog) who’s been with us for 5 weeks. He also came to us with serious eye problems, so the whole start has been incredibly stressful.

I’m just… exhausted.

He bites me from the second I get out of bed until he falls asleep. Hands, arms, feet, legs. I can’t even walk through my apartment without being attacked. I’m covered in bruises and scratches.

The only time I actually enjoy him is when he’s asleep, and then I just feel guilty for thinking that.

I work from home but can barely move because he wakes up and immediately starts biting again.
People keep saying “it’s just puppy biting,” but this feels so much more intense. We were told cocker spaniels are great family dogs and easy to train but this one is just a living nightmare. I’m honestly questioning if I’m cut out for this and whether I’ll ever have a normal life again.

Please tell me it gets better. I could really use some hope right now. 💔
