a man was impaled by a heavy duty pry bar, possibly a concrete digger while driving in Provo Canyon on Monday.
UHP said it fell from a pickup truck and it struck the driver in the neck. The driver is in “extremely critical condition.”
The vehicle it fell from has not been identified.
Friends and family of the victim are asking for the public’s help for any dash cam video, eye witnesses, or any information that could help identify the car.

🔸️Date & Time: Monday, August 10th, around 5:15 PM – 5:25 PM
🔸️Location: The bottom of Provo Canyon, near the exit heading into Provo — WB US-189 MP 8
🔸️Car that was struck: 2012 Silver Honda Civic.
There was a passenger in the car who was uninjured. They managed to use one hand to press the break and another to steer the car out of safety.
