I'm 19M, and recently a girl messaged me on Instagram. We started chatting, and I later found out she's actually from my colony and is also my friend's younger sister.
Over time, she started sending me romantic love songs, couple reels, and similar content. At one point, she even asked me, "What's your opinion of me?" I didn't answer because I wasn't sure how to respond.
The thing is, she's genuinely a nice and beautiful girl, but she's only 13 years old. That's a 6-year age gap, and more importantly, she's a minor. I know it's completely inappropriate for anything romantic to happen, and I don't want to encourage those feelings in any way.
I want to let her down kindly without hurting her or embarrassing her. My biggest concern is that she lives in the same colony as me and she's my friend's younger sister, so I can't really avoid seeing her after I turn her down. I don't want things to become awkward whenever we run into each other.
How would you handle this situation? What would you say to make it clear that a relationship isn't appropriate while still being respectful and mature? And how should I behave afterward, considering we'll probably continue seeing each other around the colony?
