Built in 1941. Weighs 1.2 million pounds. Stretches 133 feet. And it's heading your way.

This thing was built in 1941 because regular locomotives couldn't handle the steep mountain grades out West. So they built the biggest steam locomotive ever made — 133 feet long, 1.2 million pounds. They retired it in 1961 when diesel took over, restored it decades later, and now it's back on the tracks. The fact that this thing exists is insane.

Many of you might know of hotspot, the dessert place in lahore that’s been around from the 90s and their interior is full of old school movie posters and memorabilia but did they know the founder runs a really fantastic movie review site since the early 90s? The reviews are detailed and serious and if you’re a true cinephile, you’re going to have a blast going through these entries:

I’m sad tho some entries are long gone. There were detailed pushto film reviews about (I kid you not) a miss universe contest in Peshawar where a hero saves one of the models, complete with screen clips. Mind you, this was before we had online video players so this was serious effort and hosting cost. You had to download the .mpg to watch the scene where the model is being rescued with “simulated nudity” via brown right clothes in the rain. Hilarious stuff but loved the passion!
