Aging parent resources

My dad’s life has been flipped upside down and it’s putting myself and my sister in a position that maybe some of you have some insight to.

Without sharing too much, my dad’s dementia is rapidly advancing. He lives alone after a recent divorce and rents a house near myself. He is also in some financial trouble and has debt collectors coming after him after recent sell of home. We don’t have the financial resources to help him nor do we have the space to house him.

I’m asking if anyone is aware of any resources he might qualify for? I believe he doesn’t meet the snap benefits requirements (receives too much from social security) and is hitting dead ends with any part time work he could do.

I’m aware of senior life services but not really sure how they can help in this situation? Perhaps someone has some advice or can point us in the right direction!

He currently receives tribal health benefits and I was just made aware of their program to help seniors with utilities during certain seasons. Anything else we can think of?
As far as the debt goes; my understanding is that they can’t touch his social security benefits. We might just have to tell them we can pay $50 a month and settle with that but again not sure if anyone has a better solution to that.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions or advice!
