Hey all, Part 2 of S2 Chapter 5 of my Meta Runner X Pokémon Fanfic has recently been uploaded to the Subreddit and I find this to be the best time to go into something that’s been influencing the plot significantly and will be doing so more throughout the rest of the entire story: Project: Meta-Stellar Genesis.

In the canon Meta Runner series, we have Project: Blue, an ambitious project lead by Dr. Sheridan to change Meta Runner history and is also the origin of the human-looking AI Tari and the computer program she was infused to become who she is, being T.A.R.I. However, in my fanfic’s story, I’ve written my own version in a very unique light.

SEASON 1

Slide 1: In my story, Tari isn’t as synthetic as she is in canon (We don’t even know how she got her physical body in canon at that). She is instead fully biological with a mum and dad, being Zayla Astrida and Terrin Briar. This means that Tari isn’t simply known as Tari but instead having a full name in Tarilyn Astrida Briar but is still mainly referred to as Tari. Throughout the fanfic’s storyline, Tari and her Terapagos that was given to her by her dad when joining TASCorp spent the whole of Season 1 trying to learn who they truly are as they developed amnesia from the incident at the lab. They eventually met up with MD-5 along with Terrin who didn’t know that Tari was his daughter at the time as he developed amnesia from the incident (Although, the cause of his amnesia wasn’t known at the time) at the lab just like Tari. When Tari was up against Masa in Battle Blaze, Tari and Terapagos warped into game after Sofia pressed Tari’s Blue Crest pattern on her Meta Runner UI paired with Terastal Symbols which made Terrin remember a hazy version of something that he specifically described as “ethereal”.

Going forward a little, MD-5 were discussing about Operation: Silent Giratina (Op: Silent Demon parallel). Terrin was originally against this because of the recklessness of the plan destroyed their chances of saving Zayla and Zygarde from TASCorp because Terrin originally thought that Lucks was keep them along with Sofia’s sister, Lucinia, hostage. Tari and Terapagos reacted in shock from hearing Zayla and Zygarde’s names as she felt that those sounded familiar but also not at the same time.

Slide 2: Fast forwarding to the end of Season 1, when the confrontation happened at the arena, Belle and her Armarouge showed a corrupted clip that they both found that in an abandoned lab to Sofia and Terrin which made Sofia break down and Terrin break past some of his amnesia which in turn made him realise that Tari was in fact his daughter along with Zayla’s. When he told Tari this, Tari reacted in shock as she remembered a time when Terrin and Zayla along with his Terapagos and her Zygarde in a romantic moment greeted her back several years ago from something. Following this, Terapagos decided to share the memory with Belle and her Armarouge to show that Tari is innocent with what happened to Lucinia and Zayla but both of them still weren’t fully convinced.

Slide 3: Right at the end of the Season after the incident at the arena, Lucks had a subject update on two subjects that he kept hidden which turned out to be Zayla and Lucinia in cryogenic pods and next to Zayla’s one was her Zygarde cube.

SEASON 2

Slide 4: After six months of Tari, Terapagos, and the rest of her team were working at TASCorp, Tari’s Meta Runner Arm began to emit a strange hot pink and cyan coloured aura with Tari and Terapagos not knowing why this is going on. Meanwhile, Terrin and the rest of MD-5 were planning on rescuing Tari and her Pokémon, along with Theo and his loyal partner Ogerpon as they were put up as collateral to ensure Tari keeps her promise with working with TASCorp. Between the six month time skip, Terrin was thinking and trying to remember so hard about Project: Meta-Stellar Genesis. He eventually remembered that whilst he was working with Dr. Sheridan, he and Zayla built a battery core within Tari’s Meta Runner Arm that was infused with Terastal and Mega Power as something they were designed for the project. Terrin told this to the rest of MD-5 and said that while he can’t recall the true goal of Project: Meta-Stellar Genesis, he did remember about the battery core but at the same time can’t remember what it’s name was. He did say that the battery was designed to be used as a catalyst for an ethereal transformation, being most likely his hazy vision he saw back when Tari and Masa was playing Battle Blaze. Terrin also mentioned that whilst he couldn’t remember the exact name of the battery core, he does have a good feeling that part of the name had an acronym for something.

Going forward in the story a bit, it’s revealed that Lucinia and Zayla are still alive but only in TASCorp’s Server. Whilst in the server, Zayla was doing her own digging specifically into why the incident at the lab went horrific. Whilst she also has a bit of amnesia like Terrin does, it isn’t as strong so she came up with a main theory that she made from memories on what happened.

Zayla thinks the reason why the explosion at the lab happened was because Dr. Sheridan accidentally sent too much Mega and Tera Energy into the battery core within Tari’s Meta Runner Arm, in which Tari and Terapagos couldn’t handle it. She also specifically mentioned that they couldn’t handle it in their “advanced form” that was designed for the project. Every time Zayla tried to think about what the advanced form looked like, she could only picture a “unique culmination of symbols surrounded by altering energy”. She also theorised that Tari and Terapagos couldn’t handle it because they were bottling it all up without a way to safely vent out the overflow of the combined Mega and Tera energy.

Zayla then told Lucinia her plan for Tari and Terapagos if they ever meet in TASCorp’s server if they ever find a way to transform into the advanced form: “Build a full team of six Pokémon alongside Terapagos and have them all reach their full potential, Tari and Terapagos undergo the transformation again but this time, share the excess amount of Terastal and Mega Energy to the rest of her Pokémon team so that her other Pokémon can Terastallize/Mega Evolve in unison”. If there is any energy overflow this time, Tari can have Terapagos distribute the excess energy to her other Pokémon on her team so they can power up without having to worry about losing control.

Zayla also points out to Lucinia that her Zygarde is growing concerned about the aura being emitted from Tari’s Meta Runner Arm and is comparing it to an awful environmental disaster happening from a similar energy signature. With that covered, Lucinia and her team her willing to do whatever they can to help and guide Tari and Terapagos to stopping the aura discharge along with helping them get her and Zayla out of cyberspace and into the real world.

Now coming up to the point of where the story is now, Belle and Armarouge have just watched a secret file that Theo and Ogerpon helped her get and it showed that Lucks’ and his crew in the abandoned lab discovering Lucinia and Zayla unconscious on the floor. However before that, they also saw Lucks inspecting a strange combined logo comprised of the Mega and Tera symbols with energy trails flowing to and from them and a symbol that’s similar to Tari’s Crest Pattern. They also saw a “scuffed outline” of a silhouette of a “figure with wings levitating under a dome with sparkles orbiting around it”.

Outraged that Lucks lied to them about what happened to Lucinia and Zayla, they both went to Tari’s room at TASCorp to speak with her and Terapagos. They showed Tari and Terapagos the secret file and when they saw the scuffed outline, they reacted in so much pain, saying that they felt like they were having a migraine when they saw it. Despite this, the both of them still can’t remember fully what happened before to which Belle and Armarouge was suspicious about.

Knowing that Terrin is Tari’s dad and Terapagos originally belonged to him, Belle discussed with Terrin about it and what happened when Tari and Terapagos saw that image through Pocket Gakusei. He reacted in guilt but also confusion that he can’t remember seeing the outline before too. To help matters, Belle agreed to show Terrin the clip on her Meta Runner Arm whenever they can meet in person as Terrin said that seeing the file upfront would help him break through more of his amnesia. However, he tells Tari and Terapagos about the battery core in her Meta Runner Arm and correctly theorised that the reason why the strange aura is being emitted for her arm was because of a delayed reaction to when Lucks’ Scientists drilled into her arm and came into contact with the battery core right at the beginning of the story.

Tari understands this but also questions that the aura isn’t constantly being emitted out from her arm and at seemingly random times. Tari then went through a few instances when it was happening. Terrin, then asked immediately after that if she was particularly stressed at those points along with the time when she and Terapagos saw the scuffed outline. She replies that she was which helped Terrin’s case on another thought about this, being that Meta Runner Arms function from brain signals and with the battery core being tampered by the scientists, it couldn’t fully contain the amount of strong negative emotions firing from Tari’s brain into the Meta Runner Arm. This spillage would become what we know as the aura spilling out of the arm.

After Terrin mentions this, he becomes concerned that if this isn’t fixed soon or when Tari is feeling particularly stressed, the aura could effect other Pokémon outside of Tari’s team that could accidentally inhale the unbridled aura at large amounts that they could become irate and go “rogue” from not being able to contain their own strength and the excessive amount of Tera and Mega aura flowing within them. Tari and Terapagos begin to worry about this too but Terrin tells them not to worry as this would only happen in extreme cases and they should just focus on the upcoming Showmatch while he and the rest of MD-5 work together to help Tari, Terapagos, Theo, Ogerpon, and the rest of Tari’s team out of TASCorp and then look to fix Tari’s Meta Runner Arm from leaking the aura.

I made this post just to get you all up to speed on the main story beat in this story for all of you who are reading it. (Just a heads up, this part of the chapter is the largest one so far without me realising so I tried to do my best to work around the maximum word count Grab a hot drink while you read if you want lol)

Slide 1: Back in Pocket Gakusei, MD-5, Tari, and Terapagos coming up with a plan on how to proceed in which Sofia says “Ok, so if I can get into a TASCorp access point at the arena, that should give me a back door through the firewall with my Pokémon. We’ll still need to make a connection with my phone somehow though”. Terrin then follows up by saying “Right, it’s not going to be like last time with Operation: Silent Giratina where Tari and her Pokémon have to do a game breaking glitch but instead just hop into the arena’s access point from the get-go? Seems like it’ll be easier this time if it’s like that”. Masa then responds to Terrin’s take with “Good point Terrin but there are still hurdles that can stop us but we’ll get onto that in a bit”, and then turns to Tari and Terapagos to say “Tari, Terapagos, since you’re the ones at TASCorp, you have insider knowledge about most of this. However, for this plan to work, we need you to get the phone off Belle. Any ideas?”. Tari and Terapagos begin to talk with “Well-“/“Pag“ but they suddenly disconnect from the game, leaving everyone shocked!

Upon leaving the game, Tari and Terapagos gasp suddenly as they wake up and the Tera Crystals surrounding Tari who was in her Tera-Warped state break and dissipate! While feeling dazed, Tari mumbles “What…the…” and looks down at the phone with Lamar’s Pocket Gakusei render freaking out while saying “Tari? Terapagos? What’s wrong?! Tari?! TAAAAARIIIII!!!!”.

Slide 2: Just then, Belle and Armarouge appear with the former snatching the phone out of Tari’s hands! Tari and Terapagos react in shock while saying “Belle! Armarouge! What are you doing here?! And why do people keep snatching things off me?! First Evelyn, now you-!”/“Pagah?! Terapagag-!”, with Belle and Armarouge replying with “Shhh! Keep your voices down. We’re just here to talk.”/“Rooouge. Arma”. Following this, Belle then says “I… don’t think you and Terapagps killed Lucinia, or Zayla.”, to which Tari and Terapagos responds in confusion “Well, that’s what we’ve been trying to tell you. Why would I kill your friend and my mother anyway?”/“Pago, tepag pagah pagos?”. Belle reacts while feeling flustered and saying “Ugh, I know, I know! But I don’t know! I-it’s just… us two have learned some things recently about Lucinia, Zayla, and the incident, and…

Slide 3: …Lucks lied”. Tari and Terapagos just look at Belle in confusion to which Belle continues on with “(sigh) You two don’t understand. Lucks is a shady guy, but he was always good to his Meta Runners”. Upon hearing that, Tari then says “Well, that conversation he had to me in the trip home to TASCorp after that match where my Quaxwell evolved into Quaquaval would disagree with you”. Belle responds to this casually with “For the record, you two actually played very well during that but Lucks is just full of looking for specific statistics and stats to care about anything else. Getting back on track, he was always good to us despite his flaws, to the TAS Elite Four, me, Lucinia, Masa. Agh, Masa! Why didn’t I listen to him? Oh, he’s never going to let me hear the end of it”.

Tari then shuffles closer to Belle to ask “Uh, are you ok? Also, I keep on hearing you mentioning this “TAS Elite Four” but what is it though?”. Belle replies to this with “Yeah, I’m fine. It’s just really hard for everything you know in life to be turned upside down like that”. Tari sympathises with Belle by saying “Well, I woke up in a lab one day with weird connections to the Terastal Phenomenon, Terapagos, and no memory of who I am and our past. So, I can kinda sympathise”. Belle chuckles to this and says “So you can…. As for the TAS Elite Four, Lucks designed this system for the best 4 Meta Runners and their Pokémon teams that focused in a single Type to be in a special group with a one more Meta Runner and team pairing being stronger than them all like a traditional Elite Four. The thing is, me and Masa were in it. To go from weakest to strongest, it went:

The Dark Type specialist, Ray Faraday. Before he joined TASCorp and was even a Meta Runner to begin with, I believe he was a rogue street racer from Kanto when he was a young adult at 19 but he wanted to switch it up and change himself for the better by being a Meta Runner at TASCorp at 22. He only lasted a year and a bit due to him heavily disagreeing with TASCorp’s morale of giving up and chucking out any Meta Runners who didn’t meet the strict threshold. Stronger than him in the TAS Elite Four was actually your weeb friend Lamar Williams, the Poison Type specialist. He was a similar story to Ray where he disagreed with TASCorp’s system but he stayed on for a few months after Ray left. Lamar was also great friends with him as well but I don’t think it’d be wise to ask him about it now as he is probably got all of that past suppressed now. Next up was me, being the Fire Type specialist obviously. And lastly the strongest of the Elite Four being Lucinia, the Ghost Type specialist. However, the champion of this Elite Four if you will, was Masa with his team being miscellaneous in Typing. Me, Luce and Masa were holding things together in regards to this system if you could even call it that at this point until the lab incident happened and we were all disbanded”.

Slide 4: Tari and Terapagos take this all in with the former eventually saying “Woah… I wouldn’t have guessed you had such a strong group in terms of power and camaraderie here with how corporate it is here, especially with Lamar, I wouldn’t have guessed he was with you lot as he was making out that he didn’t have anything to do with the TAS Elite Four. I’m so sorry for you all that it didn’t work out”. Belle replies to this with “Your good, it’s all swept under the mat now”. Tari nods and then asks “Right. Since you and Armarouge are here from out of the corridors. I remember asking you initially why you look up to my mother Zayla so much?”.

At that exact moment, the Zygarde Cell that’s been with Belle secretly suddenly appears on Belle’s shoulder! Before Belle got to answer, Tari and Terapagos say in surprise “Huh?! What’s that green thing on your shoulder?!”/“Pagopa?! Pagos?!”. Belle then looks to see the Zygarde Cell on her shoulder and reacts in shock while saying “What the?! Mini Mistress?! What are you doing here?!”. Tari then reacts to Belle’s reaction in itself by saying “Mini…Mistress?”. Belle gets back on track by saying “Oh! Yeah err… long story short but this little one and I met up in a corridor back at Galvantula Tech Stadium six months ago after that night and it had this look in its eyes that it wanted to be with me. So from there I let it stay with me for it to appear and disappear out of sight when it chooses to. But I think it appeared now because you mentioned the name “Zayla”. I call it “Mini Mistress” as a nickname to reference your mother being publicly known as “The Outgoing Ecosystem Mistress”.

The Cell suddenly hops onto Tari’s bed and over to Terapagos while happily looking at it with Tari smiling while watching the two. She then says “You know, Terapagos here is actually Terrin’s-my dad’s Pokémon and I think this little green one here is linked to Zayla’s treasured Pokémon partner, Zygarde. In a weird way, it’s kinda like Terrin and Zayla’s spirits through Terapagos and Zygarde are reuniting right now after all this time which is so sweet to think about…”. Belle doesn’t seem surprised by this at all to which Tari questions, Belle responds with “After thinking for a bit the night me and Mini Mistress met, I had a feeling it was linked to Zayla’s Zygarde. I've heard stories that Zygarde sends out these little blobs to monitor the ecosystem for any abnormal behaviours, but I’ve got a feeling this one knew that I admire Zayla so it wanted to be with me. I like to think it’s as if Zayla is by my side and watching over my shoulder to keep me company in these weird times”. Armarouge reacts to Belle’s take happily with “Armara!”.

After a moment, Belle then continues with “The reason I look up to Zayla so much as a role model is because of her passion, determination, and resilience that makes her… her. The lengths that she goes to to succeed is so inspiring. When it comes to the sustainability of the Silica Metro Area and Lumiose City as a whole, or personal goals. For instance, she’s kinda a gymaholic but in a healthy way. However, she’s also quite competitive too. At the gym, I know that she mainly focuses on running and boxing but one time, she actually competed in her one and only proper boxing match that took place in Lumiose. I saw it live on the TV with Lucinia 5 years ago.

Zayla ended up winning by knocking out her opponent so hard, that they ended up like they were snoring on the mat. (*Chuckles*) Following that, I remember Zayla teasing her opponent after the match by mock snoring at them right then and there and me and Luce laughed our asses off seeing that karma live on TV! Her opponent was a right douche to her, throwing personal insults and everything. They deserved to be mocked as karma, despite it being a little cheeky and unprofessional, and no, this wasn’t a charity or “staged” match so all of the emotions and blows were genuine. Zayla definitely does have a sense of comedy and humour, but she doesn’t go overboard with it like some others do. However, Zayla also took some heavy blows, as well as receiving a scar to the right of her forehead that she keeps hidden by her hairstyle.

That didn’t stop her from quitting boxing though. She doesn’t box for combat but she does for fitness at the gym alongside her Pokémon, mainly being her Excadrill and Hitmonchan training their moves beside her. The fact that she kept going on with an exercise that knocked her down, literally, but she stood back up and fought on gained a lot of respect from me along with others too. I’ve also seen and heard that she gets given boxing stage names by her fans as if she was fighting for combat. Her favourite one is said to be “Le Serpent Verdoyant”, being “The Green Serpent” translated from French, which obviously links to her connection with Zygarde. Despite not being a Meta Runner or a gamer, I’ve been so inspired that I exercise with weights in my room when I’m not gaming because of her influence. The fact that someone whose outside Silica Metro’s society of gaming as influenced me, a full time Meta Runner, speaks volumes on how great her influence is…”.

Tari and Terapagos are amazed by Belle’s appreciation for Zayla with Tari saying “Wow, I can’t believe my mum was so ambitious to influence so many people in Lumiose, including yourself and Armarouge! But to not remember about something as intense as her boxing interest, especially from my own mum is so surreal. Lucinia and her definitely didn’t deserve to be involved with what happened at the lab after how morally good they seem. That just makes me want to find out more and help”.

Slide 5: Tari then looks away to think but then looks back at Belle and Armarouge to say “Speaking of the lab, you said that you found out some new things about Project: Meta-Stellar Genesis and the incident as a whole, what exactly? I’m asking this because your knowledge of this info could help me and Terapagos remember something to help you two”. Both Belle and Armarouge are a little suspicious but they both agree with the former saying “Look at you asking all these questions. Okay… I don’t know how this can help exactly but here you go”.

Belle then plays the Project: Meta-Stellar Genesis file that Theo and Ogerpon helped to retrieve from her Meta Runner Arm for Tari and Terapagos to watch. They notice Lucks and the TASCorp crew searching out an abandoned lab but then they look over to the to the scuffed outline with wings levitating under a dome with sparkles. She and Terapagos both react in slight surprise when then Tari reads what’s under the outline “PROJECT: META-STELLAR GENESIS: SYNTHETIC META FORMS”. Instantly following this, Tari and Terapagos both become very distressed with them saying loudly “Agh! AHHHHHGH! Oh god! WHY IS THAT IMAGE HURTING MY HEAD?!”/“TERRRAGH?! PAGGGAGH?!”, all while Tari’s Meta Runner Arm is releasing the strange aura again! Belle reacts to Tari and Terapagos’ reaction with concern by saying worriedly “Yo, what’s going on with you two?! What do you mean it hurts?!”.

Tari and Terapagos look the away for a good ten seconds to calm down. Tari then replies to Belle’s initial concern “I-I don’t… know why, b-but seeing that messy outline made me feel like I was having a migraine! I think I did the same for Terapagos as well…. Sorry for the scare but we literally don’t know anything to do with this. (To herself) Then why were we in pain-?”. Belle and Armarouge then say in suspicion “Well, judging by your reaction to it, there’s definitely something but I’ll let you be the judge of that. No need to jump to conclusions, I would’ve jump down your throat if I was how I was six months ago from seeing your reaction.”/“Rouge…”.

Tari then protests to Belle and Armarouge by saying “I don’t know or remember anything about this! I want know about what Project: Meta-Stellar Genesis is, and how it involved Lucinia and Zayla. Me and Terapagos want to know as much as you two do, along with our past”.

Slide 6: Belle scoffs and answers back with “Yeah, promising to help you and Terapagos figure out your past was the only way me and Armarouge could convince Coconut Boy and the Ogre to help us look around the server for that file”. This makes Tari and Terapagos perk up and ask “Wait, you know how to get to Theo and Ogerpon?!”/“Terapago?!”. Belle replies to this in slight confusion to Tari and Terapagos’ reaction with “It’s hard but… yeah?”. Tari and Terapagos excitedly respond back with “Well that’s great! We can work together then! You let my friends, my dad, and I focus on transferring Sofia’s phone data out of TASCorp, and you and Armarouge can be the ones to save Theo and Ogerpon!”/“Pag! Terapag! Pagos!”. Belle just chuckles at Tari’s suggestion and says “Your kidding, right babe? I don’t know if we can still get to them”. This causes Tari to adamantly say “Me and Terapagos are not leaving without them. I’m sorry but, either we save them, or we’re not doing this at all”. Terapagos nervously follows up with “Tera…”.

Belle strictly replies to Tari in annoyance with “We’re trying to take down one of the biggest corporations in the Silica Metro, and hell even Lumiose at that, and you’re going to jeopardise that to save a video game character and a Pokémon that was coded to specifically be in that game? They’re just computer programs! Who cares what happens to them?!”. Tari and Terapagos feel personally attacked by Belle’s words that Terapagos begins to aggressively growl at both Belle and Armarouge!

Slide 7: After a brief pause, Tari replies strictly with “WE care…”. Just as Tari said that, her Quaquaval and newly evolved Florges send themselves out of their Pokéballs just to stare angrily at Belle and Armarouge sternly along with Terapagos doing the same! Without hesitation, Tari continues on without faltering with “And these two that just came out just so happen to be from the game that Theo and Ogerpon are based in. So, if you’re want to dismiss my friends, computer programs or not, you’re going to have to get that point across all four of us!”. Following this, Quaquaval and Florges both say in a disgusted tone “Quaval!…”/“Ges!…”. Both Belle and Armarouge are caught off guard by Tari’s other Pokémon getting involved, especially with Florges to which Belle asks in her head “Since when did her Floette evolve?!”. Belle reluctantly replies in annoyance with “Fiiiine! I’ll bust Coconut Boy and the Ogre out! Jeez!”, to which Tari passive-aggressively says “Thank you” and then her Quaquaval and Florges return themselves to their Pokéballs.

Slide 8: Belle then responds in irritation with “Y’know, I liked you and Terapagos a lot better when you were pushovers”. Tari replies to this with “Well, I like you a lot better when you and Armarouge aren’t kidnapping us both”. Belle and Armarouge chuckle to this with the former saying “Yeah, well, we’ll try and cut down on that in the future. You definitely got grit inherited from your mum when needed. I can tell you that”. Belle then hands the phone to Tari and says “Here, tell Masa that me, Armarouge, and the rest of my team are in for whatever you guys are planning for the showmatch”. Armarouge reassuringly tells this to Terapagos too and both he and Tari look at Belle and Armarouge with confidence.

Meanwhile at the MD-5 hideout, MD-5 are all still wondering what’s going on with Tari and Terapagos disconnecting out of Pocket Gakusei in concern. Lamar then says in a worried tone “I’ll bet Lucks caught Tari and Terapagos and took their game away. That monster’s probably deleting her waifus in front of her very eyes!”. Terrin then says to Lamar “That’s if she had time to get any before meeting us in there to begin with. I wonder what they’re like?”, with Sofia reassuring them both with “Seriously Terrin, is Lamar’s waifu obsession rubbing on to you?…. Regardless of all of that, let’s not jump to conclusions”. Tari and Terapagos both then get back online to say “Hey guys! We’re back!”/“Tera! Terapagos!”. Lamar responds in relief with “Tari! Terapagos! Hey all! To celebrate the 7th anniversary of this beloved series, I created this drawing of our Bluejay alongside her Pokémon Team up to the most recent chapter of my Meta Runner X Pokémon Fanfiction (S2 CHP5, Part 1) which I have posted semi-recently on the subreddit. This is definitely the drawing revolving around this project that I’m most proud of period because of the layers it has to it, with the digital data particles/Terastal shards reflecting Tari’s Pokémon Team, along with the “strange aura” from Tari’s Meta Runner Arm that plays a prominent role in the story forming a “7”. But I’m especially proud of my drawing of Tari in this because I have definitely improved so much since my first ever drawing of her which I’m planning to reveal at the end of this entire passion project whenever that’ll be! Even in general, this is miles better than the drawing of Tari I did for the 6th anniversary last year. Also, as you can probably tell, I used Tari’s render on the cover of the Meta Runner: Source Comic as a reference. :)

I also went into Legends Z-A to have my player cosplay as the notable characters in the canon series as well as the fanfiction. I paired them up with Pokémon that they have in the story (Though some Pokémon that are in the fic, aren’t in Legends Z-A so I had to improvise a bit) alongside quotes from the fic’s story/canon series (with some may or may not altered) and I had a lot of fun doing it! There are some Pokémon pairings that don’t exist as of S2 CHP5 Part 1, but some of these are teasers of what’s to come! (Slides 7 and 8 features my OCs and Tari’s parents, Terrin Briar and Zayla Astrida for clarity as Tari is biological in the fic)

All in all, I’m really glad this series exists because it’s my comfort series along with Pokémon that I think about everyday and interact with during tough times. With all that said, happy 7th anniversary and have a great day!

(Part 1)

Slide 1: In Pocket Gakusei, Tari and her Floette are focusing on a supposed enemy and then lunging to attack them while saying “Alright! Taaaake… THIIIIIIS!”/“Flo! Flooooo… ETTTTTA!”. However, instead of attacking, they pull out a Psyduck Plush (P.S. hope you like my beautiful editing lol) and a Pollen Puff for Satsuki-Chan and Togekiss respectively with them saying “I hope you like it!”/“Ette Floette!”. Satsuki-Chan and Togekiss both look at their gifts in wonder and then spins around in love with Togekiss happily eating Floette’s Pollen Puff!

Slide 2: Following this, Tari looks through her Meta Runner Vision at Satsuki-Chan and Togekiss’ love gauge which has been significantly filled up now and says with exhaustion “Aghh, please let this be the last one…”. The love gauge then fully fills up to which Tari says “Finally! Why couldn’t Lamar play something less embarrassing?…” in relief. Yukina-Chan then congratulates Tari and Floette with “Great job you too! It seems that Satsuki-Chan and Togekiss’ heads are out of the clouds now so you should be able to talk to them in a Heart-to-Heart way about your feelings and your “Lamar” friend!”. Tari replies back to Yukina-Chan with “Thanks! Let’s give this go”. She then proceeds to spam click past Satsuki-Chan’s dialogue while saying “Ok! Dialogue, dialogue, more dialogue… I can see what you mean with how stuck these two are with their work because this is a whole lot of backstory that I haven’t got the time to know right now”. Following this, Terapagos feels a little down as he looked like he actually wanted to know more about Satsuki-Chan, Togekiss, and their lore.

Slide 3: Tari eventually gets to a multiple choice segment in the conversation with Satsuki-Chan asking if she and her can be romantic partners. Tari thinks for a little bit for the most appropriate answer to which she then says to Satsuki-Chan straight off the script “I’m sorry Satsuki-Chan, but I’m meant to be with someone else.”, and kinda brushes this off. Yukina-Chan then says in a concerned tone “Oh boy…”. Satsuki-Chan and Togekiss then get heartbroken by this and the former begins to cry emotionally while the latter just feels sad for Satsuki-Chan. Tari, Floette, and Terapagos then all try to calm the both of them down with “Oh, nononono, I’m so sorry for that you too!”/“Ett, floflo!”/“Pagya…”. After a short moment after the two of them had a chance to calm down, Satsuki-Chan says “If I can’t have you, then I can at least help make you and Floette happy. What’s the name of your crush, Tari-Chan?”. Tari is caught off guard by this and replies with “Oh! Uh, h-he’s not my crush. H-he’s just, Lamar! I think you might know him, he’s about *this* high, green eyes, braids, talks about cars a lot…”. Satsuki-Chan thinks for a little bit and then laughs along with Togekiss!

Slide 4: The former then pulls out a letter and gives it to Tari. On the letter, it has Lamar’s Pocket Gakusei details scripted onto it! Tari then reads it and says excitedly “Ecchi_Emperor92! How can I forget that one…”. Tari then notices something attached on the back of the letter though. Floette gasps as they all find out it’s a golden coloured stone with a sparkling symbol embedded into it! Yukina-Chan passionately says “Oh my goodness! That’s a Shiny Stone! Satsuki-Chan must’ve given it out as that’s the evolution item that evolved her Togetic into the Togekiss she has now, but it also so happens to be the evolution item that evolves Floette too!”. Tari reacts to this in surprise with “Really?! Satsuki-Chan was kind enough to also benefit my Pokémon as well?” to which Yukina-Chan happily nods. After looking at the Shiny Stone, Floette looks at Satsuki-Chan with tears of joy in her eyes in which Tari notices and asks “So, do you accept this gift? I pretty sure I know the answer!” while holding the Shiny Stone out to Floette. Floette happily floats over to it while saying “Floettta!”. She then hugs the Shiny Stone with her While Flower and begins to glow bright blue! Yukina-Chan and Terapagos both cheer out “Let’s go! Floette’s evolving!”/“Terapago! Pagah!”.

After a short moment, a Pokémon with a graceful air around it basks in its new for and then says with passion “Florrr…ges!”. Tari looks at Floette’s new form and says “Woah… you look so elegant! Flo-?”, to which her Pokédex Vision activates and states:

“Florges, The Garden Pokémon, A Fairy Type, White Flower Florges are capable of syncing with the wavelength of multiple other colours to power up. While usually compassionate, Florges will maliciously hunt and take down anyone who ruins their garden or other significant place, even if the offender begs for their life”.

Slide 5: Upon reading that, Tari reacts with “Geez, that’s elegant AND intense! It goes to show how dedicated you are to protect the passion that you treasure”, in which Florges responds smugly with “Flor flor”. Tari then turns to Yukina-Chan to say “Yukina-Chan, may you lead me to this students classroom”, to which Yukina-Chan kindly responds with “With pleasure!”. Before Tari and her Pokémon made their leave, they all turn around to Satsuki-Chan and Togekiss who are standing idle just like at the start to say “Thank you so much you two! I really appreciate this as does Florges and Terapagos too! They really enjoyed riding on Togekiss’ back whilst she flown through the sky! I’m also sorry that it didn’t work out between us in the end but I will consider joining Team Nova though once we’re all freed up from… everything. Goodbye!”, followed up by Florges and Terapagos wishing them a good onward journey with “Ges, Flora!”/“Pagagoooo!”.

Tari, Yukina-Chan, and the Pokémon all arrive to the entrance to Lamar’s room and enter it. Tari looks around and says “Yep! This is Lamar’s room alright!”, and then turns to Yukina-Chan to say “I think we’ll be alright from here Yukina-Chan. Thank you so much for all of your help! From meeting us when we first joined, from me catching Petilil, to meeting and experiencing dating for the first time, to Floette evolving, everything! To put in a word, it was, different”. Yukina-Chan wholeheartedly replies back with “No problem Tari-Chan it was nice to experience all of that too!”.

Yukina-Chan then remembers something and says “Oh! But I almost forgot! Here, take this! Your very own Z-Ring to use that Fairy Type Z-Move from that Fairium Z that I gave to you at the start!”. Yukina-Chan then hands the custom-made Z-Ring to Tari to which the latter replies with “Oh thank you! This looks very fitting for me!”. Yukina-Chan responds with “Yep! I actually handcrafted that Z Ring while you and your Pokémon were on your date with Satsuki-Chan and Togekiss! To use the Fairy Type Z Move, you have to embrace your inner fairy into preforming a cutesy pose with Florges!”. Upon hearing this, Tari says “Is that so, well I remember Satsuki-Chan pulling a pose that I think would work for it so we’ll give it a swing when the time comes, and I can also help you out with your “18 Z Moves from Memory” masterpiece that you’re working on!”. Yukina-Chan happily replies “That would be amazing but I’ll let you and your sweet Pokémon go now! Bye bye!”. With Tari and her Pokémon now in Lamar’s classroom feeling ready then ever, the former goes to the front of the class and sends a friend request to Lamar in the physical world!

Slide 6: Meanwhile in Masa’s apartment, Sofia and Terrin are helping each other to build Masa’s new Meta Runner Arm with them saying “And just about… done!”/“There we go! I still need to implement the Terastallization and Mega Evolution options into it but that should take no time at all, especially with the former!”. Masa gets a feel for his new arm while Lamar reacts to it while saying “Looking good man! Just wait till we dress it up a little. Y’know, new paint job, custom plating, oh! Maybe slap some decals on it!”. Masa replies to Lamar with “Let’s just get to business. Sofia, what’s our intel so far?”.

Before Sofia got to speak, Lamar’s phone suddenly goes off with a notification tone saying in a cheery anime voice “Pocket Gakusei!~”. Lamar apologies for this with “Sorry! That was me. Continue”. Sofia then boots up a promo advert and elaborates with “So, Lucks has organised a big showmatch in 10 days to publicise Tari’s promotion to TASCorp’s main lineup”. Masa immediately makes a point on this by saying “Then that should be our target.”, followed up by Terrin saying “Woah, my bluejay’s really had a makeover with that new look of confidence and outfit. Regardless, Masa’s right”. Masa continues on with “It’s impossible to safeguard an event that big from every vulnerability. So,-“, only to be cut off by Lamar’s Pocket Gakusei notification tone again.

Slide 7: Lamar then says to everyone “My game’s probably just updating.”, but the notification tone keeps on consecutively activating. Terrin then says in a slightly annoyed tone “God, what’s with this place and interruptions? First that neighbour, now this…”. In Pocket Gakusei, Tari is desperately pressing the “Add Friend” button while saying “Come on Lamar! Pick up!”. Masa tries to share his plan on the operation but is having a really hard time to explain with Lamar’s phone alerts constantly going off to the point that he says in frustration “Will you just answer that already?!”. Lamar eventually says “Alright! Chill, chill…. I’ll put it on silent”. Lamar then opens up Pocket Gakusei on his phone and says in shock “HUH?!”

Slide 8: In Pocket Gakusei, Lamar shows up on the main board of the class to Tari, Terapagos, and Florges’ relief with all of them saying happily “Lamar! Yes! Oh, we’re so happy to see you again!”/“TERAPAGYA!”/“FLORGE GES GES!”. However, Lamar just looks at the three of them in confusion in which Tari asks “Is, something wrong?”. Lamar replies while feeling flustered with “N-nah nah! You just uh, you, you all look good!”. Tari then replies with “Oh! Uh… thanks!”. Sofia then hears all this and says “Is that? Tari? *Gasp* TAAARRRIIII!”, and then proceeds to lodge the phone on an angle for a better view at them. Tari then reacts to Sofia with “Sofia! Oh, I’m so glad to see you too!”.

Slide 9: Meanwhile, Terrin was still trying to ignore the commotion from earlier that he hasn’t realised that Tari and former Terapagos are on the phone! He snaps out of it with “Wait…what? Tari?!” and quickly moves over to where Lamar and Sofia are to get into frame. Terapagos then sees Terrin for the first time in six months and becomes ecstatic while jumping up and down shouting out “TERAPAPAGOS! TERRRAAAAAA!!!!!”. Terrin’s face turns slightly pale as he sees her daughter and his former Terapagos on the screen along with Tari’s Florges and says in a very faint tone “N-no way…”. Tari then says Terrin in a warm voice “Hey Dad, hope you’ve been doing alright after these months. Me and Terapagos missed you a lot after everything that has happened back then”.

Terrin face and personality begins to genuinely mellow out for the first time in a long time as he starts to tear up a bit while saying “I… I think that’s… the first time you called me “Dad” since… *sniff* before everything, not that you knew I was your Dad back then. D-don’t worry about me Angel. I was more worried about you and Terapagos! Having my amnesia break just as I found out you were my daughter back then just to be gone immediately after that…. *Sniff* But, at least I finally get to see what my daughter and Terapagos have grown up to be, like your Florges who was just a newly evolved Floette back then at the arena. (*chuckles*) But of all the places to meet again, a dating sim of all places? Seriously?… I-I missed you so much, really…”. Tari feels warm inside and says “Me and Terapagos feel the same. Floette just evolved into Florges actually now that you mentioned it. Although, I don’t remember you having your hair flowing down like that and being more yellow before all of this”. Terrin laughs a little bit and replies with “Yeah, as I started to get my memories back, I felt like I wanted to change myself a bit to feel like I have changed for the better. I was a shell of my former self six months ago but now I’m running my way back up. Especially since I have learnt a few things about Project: Meta-Stellar Genesis and other things too, but we’ll save that for a bit”. Sofia then says “Oh Terrin… Tari…. We’ve all changed in our own ways but we also were just talking about how we’re totally going to mess up Lucks bust you and your Pokémon out of TASCorp and-“.

All of a sudden, Sofia stops what she was saying due to Masa coming into frame with a serious demeanour. Tari and Terapagos notice this and both say worriedly “Hi Masa”/“Pago”, in which Masa replies with “Tari… Terapagos…”. Tari then continues on with “Masa, I… I don’t know what to say…. We’re sorry about the way we left things back at the arena. I know you have a lot of questions and I’m being honest when I say so do I and just wanna-“, to which Masa cuts her off to say in a calm tone “It’s ok Tari. We can sort all that out after you, Terapagos, and the others are safe ok?”, in which Tari and Terapagos reply with “Ok…”/“Pag…”. Lamar notices that the atmosphere is quite emotional so he says to everyone “H-hey! What are we doing standing around like this? We’re probably making Tari and her Pokémon uncomfortable! Am I right Rin?”, in which Terrin replies with “Oh uh, yeah. What do you have in mind for what we should do then?”. Lamar smugly replies with “Well, check this out”.

Slide 10: Lamar then proceeds to activate a face scanner for Pocket Gakusei from his Meta Runner Arm. After a few moments of his face being scanned, Lamar suddenly walks through the classroom door in-game to Tari and the Pokémon to say passionately “Kon'nichiwa Tari-Chan!” and then strikes a flamboyant pose next to his in-game details! Tari and Terapagos react in amazement, saying “You look amazing!”/“Pagoo!…”, to which Lamar replies with “Well, I better. You know how many loot boxes I had to open to get this costume?”. In the physical world, Lamar then encourages everyone else with “Come on guys! Join in!” and reaches for his bag where he pulls out three spare phones. Masa is thrown off by Lamar having spare phones casually with him in which the latter replies seriously with “Hey! It’s my calling as a proud otaku to share the joy of anime and waifus with the whole world”. While Sofia happily begins to scan her face, Terrin watches and says “It’s been forever since I played a game and dating sim wasn’t the genre I was expecting to play next. Definitely not my type of game but I’m keen to try it out!”. Terrin then scans his face in too. After seeing the others doing it, Masa reluctantly joins in as well.

Slide 11: After a brief moment, Sofia walks into the Lamar’s classroom to say in a teasing tone “Sorry I’m late to class~” with her username being “GENKIBUNNY3”. Terrin then enters the classroom next while saying “I feel like I’ve just graduated while wearing this. I like to think I’m like my however-times-Great Grandfather Heath with this outfit on, I dig it!”, with his username being “VIKARIN738”. Lastly, Masa with a gloomy expression walks in with his username simply being “MASA6”. He then says in a disgruntled tone “I’m glad Terrin thinks he looks like his Grandfather in a good way because I feel the exact opposite…”. Tari then lightens his mood by saying “Well, I think you look great!”, to which Masa replies with “Thanks. Let’s stop wasting time and get down to business. Tari, we’re going to get you out in your upcoming showmatch. So we need to know as much about it as you can tell us”. Tari and Terapagos confidently replies with “Ok, here’s what I know!”/“Pagopag!”.

Slide 12: Meanwhile at TASCorp, Belle and Armarouge have just got back to their room with the secret Project: Meta-Stellar Genesis file that Theo and Ogerpon helped to retrieve. Belle sits down in her gaming chair and then glances over to a picture of her and Lucinia on the wall with a conflicted look with Armarouge. Belle then says out loud “Agh, don’t look at us like that. Coconut Boy and the Ogre will be fine! They did this for you”. Belle then prepares to play the clip on the file after hesitating for a bit. She looks over to Armarouge as Armarouge does the same to Belle and then she plays it. Sirens are going off in a lab with a few TASCorp Agents/Scientists investigating along with Lucks being present as well. Lucks then calls out “Sheridan?… Coward”. He then orders the others in the room “Search the lab. I want to know what they were doing here”.

Slide 13: Lucks then notices a strange logo of sorts on a monitor resembling Tari’s Crest Logo with a D-Pad and Shoulder Buttons embedded in it. It’s also surrounded by two coloured streams, one being Blue and Yellow, and the other being Black and Lime Green. These streams also have trails flowing from the Crest to two other Symbols, being the Terastal Logo above, and the Mega Evolution Logo below. Lucks seems confused by this as he reads text just below the logo with him saying “What?: “PROJECT: META-STELLAR GENESIS: SYNTHETIC META FORMS”? Wait, there’s more? It seems censored out though: “B__E_AY M_T_-ST_LL_R _ORE”?”. Lucks then looks over to see another thing on the monitor, this time it’s a very scuffed outline of a silhouette of a figure with wings levitating under a dome with sparkles orbiting around it!

Lucks then looks over to a TASCorp Scientist looking down in shock towards smoke, he asks “What is it?”. He then walks closer and looks down too. He then reacts in shock too and says “What has he done to you two?… *sigh* *sigh* RRRRRRAGH!”. Lucks manages to get his composure back together and then orders the others “Recover what you can. Search the cameras and the footage. Maybe something good can still come of this mess…”. He then speaks to his earpiece to say “I need a medical team down here, I found what’s happened to Lucinia and Zayla”.

Slide 14: As the clip ends, Belle and Armarouge look down in complete shock. Belle then says with increasing anger “He knew. HE ALWAYS KNEW! GAAAARGH!”, followed up by Armarouge feeling and saying the exact same with “Arma… ARRRRMARRRRGH!”. Belle then continues on with “He’s been hiding what has happened to Lucinia and Zayla for that matter for TWO YEARS! THAT LYING, MANIPULATIVE PIECE OF-!”. Belle then stops to look at the picture on the wall again to say “You’re not going to be tossed to the side like this. I won’t let him. I swear it. Let’s go Armarouge.”, followed up by Armarouge in frustration saying “Rragh… Arma… rragh…”. The both of them then proceed to walk out of their room in seriousness to go somewhere, not before the Zygarde Cell appearing for a couple of seconds on Belle’s shoulder, looking at the picture of Belle and Lucinia…

(I’m quite busy these next couple of months so expect the following chapters to come out later than usual)

Slide 1: Back in Pocket Gakusei; Tari, and her Terapagos and Floette, along with Yukina-Chan are actively attempting to find Lamar’s Classroom for contact with Tari and her Pokémon searching in every classroom whilst Yukina-Chan is trying to search on the Gakusei University’s Database for any leads. Tari, with her Pokémon enter one of the classrooms whilst asking out “Lamar?/Paga?/Flo?”, only to find out it’s a different player’s room with the latter reacting with “Aw yeah, check it! We got a new classmate! Can we get some RNG love in the chat for us?”, with Tari reacting with “Sorry! Wrong door”. They all go to another room to check but again it’s another player’s room whilst he reacts in a more casual tone with “Who’s this? Awwww, I wanted to get Mistuki-Chan….”, until a different voice in the background says “Jeremy! Put down your cartoon gorls and come to dinner!”, with Jeremy responding in annoyance with “It’s called ANIME, Mom…”. Tari reacts in embarrassment while Terapagos saying in a depleted tone “Terapag…”.

Slide 2: All of them check another room after that but this time, the player is speaking in a very creepy tone, saying “Ohh wHat’s THiS? AnOtHEr suPEr KAwaIi pAIr FOr my STuDy groUp?”. Tari and Terapagos both look at this player in genuine worry and concern for their safety while Floette is already out of the room. Tari quickly shuts the door to bring herself and Terapagos away from that player. Yukina-Chan then asks Tari with concern “Is everything alright Tari-Chan? Were you just shy of that one?”. Tari replies “Yeah… I guess you could say that”. Tari then gets an idea and says to everyone “Ok! How about this? If I’m gonna find Lamar, I just need to think like Lamar *Sigh*”. Tari then begins to “act” like Lamar by acting casually and smugly while saying “Yo guys what’s up? Lamar here! I love my car, and my anime, and my body pillows…”. Everyone else is eating Tari’s Lamar impression up happily with Terapagos and Floette cheering with “Tera! Paga! Tera! PAGA!”/“Flo lo ETTA!”, followed up by Yukina-Chan reacting in amazement with “Woah! Tari-Chan must know this Lamar student well seeing as she’s acting so confidently, that’s so inspiring!”.

Slide 3: Whilst acting, Tari suddenly gets a memory from when she was with MD-5 while speaking with Lamar back then where he said “Satsuki-Chan and Togekiss here are my side chicks. I’m a bit of a player, ya know what I’m sayin”. Tari then says out loud “Satsuki-Chan and Togekiss!”, and then turns to Yukina-Chan to say “Alright Yukina-Chan, I thought of something that could help us!”. Yukina-Chan replies in interest with “Oh great, hit me with it!”. Tari continues on with “Alright, my friend Lamar loves an anim-, I mean student pairing called Satsuki-Chan with her partner Togekiss. They wouldn’t happen to be in this school would they?”. Upon hearing the names, Yukina-Chan perks up and says “Huh?! Yes they are actually but I’m surprised that you know of them as the two of them are here for only a month as a guest speaker of sorts from a very prestigious sector! I’m actually friends with her too but I’ll call her so I can elaborate more!”.

Satsuki-Chan and Togekiss then spawn in front of all of them with a pleasant look on both their faces. Terapagos and Floette happily exclaim to greet the two of them and then Yukina-Chan continues on with “Satsuki-Chan is actually the leader of a space exploration team called Team Nova. It’s a very small team but I’m actually an honorary member of it but I don’t usually have the time to go on her missions as I’m typically caught up with studies here. Another thing about the team is that we all specialise in one Type each with me focusing on Ice Types with Koolippo and the rest of my team, Satsuki-Chan specialises in Fairy Types, and I know that another member specialises in Flying Types. But that’s just the general gist of it all. I wonder if your friend Lamar is part of the team too?”. Tari reacts to all of this with “It’s hard to say but seeing how much he loved Satsuki-Chan back then, it wouldn’t surprise me. Team Nova sounds like it’s a cool team but I’m just planning on meeting the two of them here for now”.

Slide 4: Tari then begins to talk to Satsuki-Chan and Togekiss with “Hi Satsuki-Chan, and you too Togekiss! You don’t know me and my Pokémon, but I’m pretty sure you know my friend”. The both of them look blankly at Tari whilst Tari carries on with “I really need to speak to him and I was hoping if you two can help me find him?”, to which Satsuki-Chan and Togekiss are still looking blankly at Tari. This concerns Tari and her Pokémon with the former asking “Hello?”. Yukina-Chan then seemingly remembers something and tells Tari and her Pokémon “Oh yeah! Err, you know how I told you that the two of them are very occupied and prestigious? Well, all of that weight causes them to occasionally have their heads in clouds, even in social situations. However, the two of them typically snap back into reality if they are interacted in a bonding-type setting”.

Tari’s Meta Runner Vision activates and displays a depleted gauge. She then asks Yukina-Chan “Alright well, what do you suggest me and my team should do in this bonding exercise of sorts?”. Yukina-Chan then passionately and animately replies with “Well, you did enroll at Gakusei University here in Jubilife City, “The City of Joy”. You should take them both on a date to express all of that joy!”. Tari reacts in slight surprise and responds reluctantly with “Oh boy…”.

Slide 5: Back at TASCorp, Lucks and his Lucks enters the room that the TASCorp Scientists have been monitoring Theo and Ogerpon. They both walk up to a couple of the scientists for Lucks to sternly ask “Where are they?”. One of the scientists brings up a page on the giant monitor that displays a file page. Lucks reacts in slight confusion and asks “What are they looking for there?” while the highlighter automatically scrolls and taps into each folder. Lucks then orders one of the scientists “Run the quarantine program in my private server”.

Slide 6: Within the server, Theo and Ogerpon are carefully looking through a bunch of files loaded in crates with the former saying “Let’s see, Inkay Records… nope! Clawitzer Launcher Blueprints… don’t know what that is. Ducklett Photos? Who’s been downloading all these?”, followed by the latter saying in a disgruntled and confused tone “Grah ponio?”. On the outside, Belle and Armarouge’s patience is wearing away slightly with the two of them saying “Taking your sweet time you too…”/“Rouge raaa…”. Theo responds back strictly with “Hey, calm down! Investigation is a delicate process.”, and then immediately follows up under his mouth with “Who am I kidding no it’s not. Ogerpon, let’s smash it open”. Ogerpon, just as bored as Theo, agrees as both of them smash the file crates into pieces.

Slide 7: Whilst looking at the mess that he and Ogerpon just caused, Theo then says “Boy, who knew companies would have so much data. We don’t even know where to look”. Suddenly, Green and Purple data particles flow behind Theo and Ogerpon and they both react with “Huh, who’s there?!”/“Pon?!”. Both particles streams flow around the two of them for a little bit until they stop at a certain file. Suspecting that they found something, Belle and Armarouge both ask “You find something?”/“Rou ragh?”. Theo then grabs the specific file and says “Maybe…. It says: “PROJECT: META-STELLAR GENESIS_CLEANUP_LUCINIA_&_ZAYLA”? Hold on, Terrin say months ago that Zayla is Tari’s Mom?”. At that moment, the transparent Zygarde Cell that’s been with Belle for a while now becomes more clearer as it eyes the screen on Belle’s shoulder. Upon hearing the file name, both Belle and Armarouge react in surprise with “Lucinia… and Zayla? Yes, that’s right!That’s the file! You two, get that file!”/“Raa…. Ra Rouge! Armara!”. Theo responds to this casually with “No problemo!” and tosses it up in the air to begin the upload!

Slide 8: Theo then dusts off his hands while saying to Ogerpon “There! That wasn’t so hard, right Ogerpon?”, with Ogerpon celebrating with “Ponyo pa!”. All of a sudden, the two of them hear an alarm and look around to see the quarantine bots coming towards Theo and Ogerpon to capture them! The two of them react in annoyance and both look back up at the file upload which is still loading, albeit slowly. Theo then calls out to Belle and Armarouge with “Hey we got a problem here!”. Belle assertively responds back with “You got to protect that upload you two, that’s your end of the bargain!”. Theo and Ogerpon reluctantly agrees and say whilst preparing to fight the bots “We’re ready for you this time!”/“Grah PONYA!”. One of the bots lunges towards Theo who dodges and then throws his coconut to destroy that bot!

Slide 9: Whilst Theo is waiting for his coconut to boomerang back towards him, one of the other bots attempts to lunge at Theo and Ogerpon but the former ducks to avoid it just in time and then quickly calls over to Ogerpon “Quick! Use Spiky Shield!”. Ogerpon quickly deploys several sharp foliage spikes in front of her to shield against the bot whilst also damaging it with the Spiky Shield! Theo’s coconut then successfully returns back to him just in time for it to be used to shield against the other bot! The impact of that bot’s push causes Theo to become dazed which gives one of the bots the chance to grab onto Theo and begin to pull him away! Ogerpon attempts to use Ivy Cudgel on the bot but the bot is too far out of reach.

Slide 10: Theo is struggling to attack the bot with his coconut but then remembers a strategy that he and Ogerpon used before! Theo then shouts down to Ogerpon with “Ogerpon, on the count to three, throw your Ivy Cudgel at the bot!”. Ogerpon affirms whilst Theo throws his coconut down and the counts to three for his coconut to return back and also for Ogerpon’s attack. The coconut and the Ivy Cudgel both land a clean hit on the bot, not before Theo impressively swinging out of the sway of the impact explosion! Theo then falls back down to the ground and lands on the last bot on the way down. Theo lands back on the ground but then the bot that he just fell on falls onto Theo which hurts him a bit.

Slide 11: Back in the monitoring room, Lucks sees that the quarantine bots were unsuccessful and then orders one of the scientists “Keep running the quarantine, devote any auxiliary system processing power to this”. In the server, Theo and Ogerpon wearily look back at the file upload that’s made barely any progress and then notice a whole swarm of the quarantine bots coming towards them as per Lucks’ command! This frustrates Theo and Ogerpon even more with the former worriedly saying to Belle and Armarouge on the outside “Hey, shouty duo? We’re not sure if we can handle this many!”. Belle then grabs the controller on the desk and responds back confidently with “Well, hold onto your coconut and cudgel you two, because me and Armarouge can!”.

Belle then puts in rapid commands into the controller to make Theo pulls his coconut out and back quickly with Theo asking “Is this another weird glitch?”, to which Belle replies in annoyance from Theo’s ignorance “Kid, what do you think we do for a living? Just sit back and enjoy the ride!”. Belle then manages to clone Theo’s coconut from the rapid inputs in which Theo says in amazement “Two. COCONUTS?!”. Belle doesn’t stop there, she continues to clone more and more of Theo’s coconuts with Theo and Ogerpon enjoying every bit of it! Theo says whilst laughing maniacally “Hahaha! It’s like my coconut is using Double Team!”.

Slide 12: After Belle has cloned several of Theo’s coconuts, the latter then says in an overwhelmed tone “This… this is too much power…”, to which Belle says back to Theo after activating her Meta Runner Arm to pull up Theo’s capabilities “You ain’t seen nothing yet kid” and then has Theo send out most of the coconuts at the quarantine bot hoard and then jump on a few others to destroy them! One of the bots targets Ogerpon but is damaged by Ogerpon using Spiky Shield again just in time and then destroyed completely by Ogerpon’s Ivy Cudgel right after! Theo then rounds up all of the coconuts that have been thrown out and are placed on Theo’s back, Theo reacts to this by jokingly saying “Hey, I’m like Terapagos with his huge shell in that sparkly form! I’m Terapatheo!”.

Slide 13: Theo then aims at the rest of the quarantine bot hoard by using his arm length to help Belle out. Belle then says to both him and Ogerpon “Hey you two, which this.” and proceeds to send out a load of the coconuts up at a 45 degree angle, completely away from the bots! This confuses Theo and Ogerpon into saying “Err, I think you missed”/“Grah pon! Grah ya!”. Belle, along with Armarouge, both reply smugly with “Ohh, did I?”/“Armaraha!”. The coconuts that have been thrown out then proceed to fly in a cyclone motion around Theo and Ogerpon which completely amazes them! The coconut cyclone begins to destroy every bot that comes near it! Belle then calls over to Ogerpon and Armarouge to say “Hey Ogerpon! No need for you to sit out in this! Use Ivy Cudgel and Spiky Shield at the same time and go nuts on them! *To Armarouge* Hey bud, when you see an opening, use Expanding Force on the bots too!”. Both Pokémon do exactly that with Theo saying excitedly “This is AWESOME! All the fun of killing without barely any effort!”.

Slide 14: Two of the bots attempt to catch Theo and Ogerpon within the cyclone but one of them is destroyed. The other bot reacts to this by attempting to infiltrate by flying above and then into the cyclone instead! Belle and Armarouge notices this and the former says “Ohhh no you don’t!” and then has Theo ascend by using his coconuts as footstools! Armarouge then calls over to Ogerpon to prompt her to follow suit with “Raghrouge!”. Ogerpon hears this and begins to pogo on her Ivy Cudgel to bounce up to Theo’s height! The two of them manages to get to the bots level and destroys it with a strong combined attack of Theo’s coconut and Ogerpon’s Ivy Cudgel! The two of them both land back on the ground with the former saying with vigor “You may take our files, but you’ll never take our FREEDOM!”, followed up by the latter yelling out triumphantly!

Slide 15: Theo and Ogerpon both turn around to hear the file upload pinged from being fully up loaded and say casually “Oh hey the file’s done”/“Pon pon”. Belle reacts with increasing joy while saying “I got it… I GOT IT!”, but then suddenly gasps as she might’ve blown her cover from shouting! She quickly turns to Armarouge to say “Bud! Return now!”, to which Armarouge is caught off guard by but is returned back to its Ultra Ball. A passing TASCorp Agent heard Belle’s yelling and cautiously begins to search the room to see what that was about. The Agent then goes to the monitor to hear Theo and Ogerpon saying with passion “Alright! Let’s get the rest of them!…. Shouty duo? Hello?”/“Grah ponya?… PON PON?!”.

Slide 16: The agent then begins to dial up the rest of security while Belle comes out of a cardboard box that she was hiding under. Belle looks over at the monitor and sighs in a conflicted tone and then looks towards the exit. In the server, the rest of the quarantine bot hoard are closing in on Theo and Ogerpon with the two of them in concern with the former asking “Hey, you still there?! We really need some help!”. However, Belle proceeds to escape out of the abandoned lab to safety! Theo and Ogerpon attempt to fight the bots but struggle significantly without the power and skill difference from Belle and Armarouge’s help! The two of them eventually get knocked down and are too tired to carry on fighting!

Slide 17: Belle successfully escapes back into the hallway with the Project: Meta-Stellar Genesis File uploaded into her Arm. She then sends Armarouge back out with Armarouge feeling bad for leaving Theo and Ogerpon but Belle says to it “I know we shouldn’t have dipped but it was my fault for yelling. They did the job though”. Belle then turns back to the room and says “Sorry you two…” and then goes back to her room along with Armarouge. Lucks sees that the quarantine program was successful this time and one of the bots attempts to drop Theo and Ogerpon back into the confinement box but he then says “Wait, the containment server won’t hold them. Clearly the reason our guests keep on running away is because we haven’t made them feel quite at home.” and then turns back to the scientists with a sinister look and continues on with “Let’s remedy that”. One of the scientists then activates a function on the giant monitor whilst Lucks stands smartly and Luxray watches cautiously…

Slide 18: Theo and Ogerpon begin to wake up with the former jumping up saying “Shouty duo!”. However, the two of them looks around at their surroundings and are on… SimpleFlip Island?! Theo and Ogerpon react to this with “We’re home? We’re home!”/“Ponio? Poniopa!”. They then jump up in celebration but when they land back on the ground, both of their models glitch partially into the sand with the universe stuttering! Theo then says “Well… that’s… different…” and tries to jump out of the sand but glitches even more with Ogerpon being the same! Theo then resorts to talking to the Elder Tomato by saying “Hey, Elder Tomato? What’s going o-o-on?”. The Elder Tomato replies with his typical in-game advice but this time it’s more jumbled up along with the Elder Tomato glitching heavily and eventually slipping out of Theo’s hands and then despawning himself. All of a sudden, several glitchy and erratic Facepalm and a giant warped Alolan Exeggutor comes out from the ground! Theo and Ogerpon attempt to fight back but both their attacks are ineffective! Theo and Ogerpon yell out in complete horror “WHAT’S HAPPENING?!”/“GRAH PONYAAAAAAGH?!”.

Slide 19: Theo and Ogerpon then spots a Weepinbell trying to defend itself against a glitched out Crabrawler! The former shouts over to it “Hey! It’s y-you fr-ooo-m forever-er-r ago!”, but the frenzied glitched out Facepalms and Alolan Exeggutor close in on Theo and Ogerpon with them screaming in horror! Back at TASCorp, Lucks watches the chaos unfold on the giant monitor after seeing the glitched out UJM cartridge inserted. He smirks and then walks to exit, not before Luxray watching the chaos too but in a much more serious and concerned way…

LUCINIA AND ZAYLA’S DIGITAL HEART-TO-HEART (Slides 1 to 4)

Slide 1: Somewhere in a digital space; green and purple data particles manifest and conjure up two figures out of both colours. All of a sudden, Zayla and her Zygarde in its 50% form manifests from the green particles whilst Lucinia and her Ceruledge manifests from the purple ones! The both of them, alongside their Pokémon partners, are seemingly part way through a conversation, with Lucinia saying after Zayla has supposedly came back from something

“Woah… I wouldn’t have thought that working out, even with us in the server, would be so tiring”. Zayla casually replies to Lucinia with “Well, it was difficult for me to get back to form after… the incident at the lab, especially when the two of us along with Zygarde and Ceruledge, and also my Bluejay and Rin Rin’s Terapagos took the brunt of all that firsthand. But whenever I feel overwhelmed or stressed after work or with how everything is treating me as of late, I go to the local workout gym outside of the Silica Metro Area to do some boxing, shadow boxing at home if that’s not possible like now. It helps me clear and balance my mind, just like how Zygarde balances the ecosystem. Also, I feel more alive and awakened when I’m going rounds with the bag, I like to imagine that I’m “Mega Evolved” in a sense whilst I’m training, especially in my core. Now that I think of it, there is a digital device that involved having your Pokémon hit a punching bag along with other minigames to increase their stats, being called “Super Training”. I guess I kinda link to that too huh?”.

Lucinia mood changes more down as she says “Is that right? I shouldn’t be selling myself short just because I haven’t been in the limelight for a long time at TASCorp, even with the state we’re in now and how you’re managing to cope with all of this. I was originally happy for the others in the TAS Elite Four for getting their fame but it just didn’t feel the same when I was starting to feel… ignored. That lead to me wanting to help the Doctor because he needed help, and I needed help, and he said that this project was going to be “revolutionary” to Meta Runners. He sounded enthusiastic but also really desperate to get his big break, so I just went along with it. However, I don’t want to feel like I have to go out of my way anymore to feel seen and as Lucks ironically puts it: “Nurtured”. I want to change that. I’m wondering if you can let me join in with your boxing or shadow boxing next time? I feel like this could help me mentally”.

Zayla encouragingly replies back to Lucinia with “By all means, if it helps you to find yourself in darkness and break out of it”, but then her mood becomes serious as she continues by saying “Although, I still feel down myself sometimes seeing what Tari, Terapagos, Terrin, and the others are going through though. And it doesn’t help with Evelyn, that pink runt, screwing with her either! I hate her to hell and back! (*sigh*) Regardless, it was so good when we saw the two of them in that void six months ago after they pulled off that glitch though. After I saw those two, bewildered and surprised as they may were, I felt warm inside knowing that my daughter and my bae’s Terapagos were still out there, alive and conscious. I want and must help Tari more however I can, not only as her mother, but also because Zygarde is getting apprehensive about her Meta Runner Arm emitting that strange aura. It said to me before that it’s seen and battled against something that became an environmental disaster from a similar-looking aura/energy signature a couple of centuries ago, in Lumiose City too but before the Silica Metro was established”. Following this, Zayla’s Zygarde grumbles a concerned “Garde…” as it compares Tari’s Meta Runner Arm’s strange aura to the aforementioned disaster Zayla mentioned.

Slide 2: Lucinia begins to feel concerned too as she says “Oh god, well we can’t just sit back and see this happen! Not after everything she and the others have put up with. Do you have anything in mind on how we can do something to at least prevent this?”. Zayla takes a deep breath before replying with “Well, before me and you first interacted in the server roughly six months ago, Zygarde and I were interacting telepathically and wondered about why the lab explosion happened and we eventually came to an educated guess: The Doctor accidentally sent too high of a frequency of Terastal and Mega Evolution Energy to Tari and Terapagos via transferring it through Tari’s Meta Runner Arm, in which they couldn’t handle all of it, even in their advanced digital form that was created specifically for the Project. I don’t remember clearly what this form looked like but every time I try and think about it, a unique culmination of symbols surrounded by altering energy pops into my mind. Moreover, we theorised that since it was only Tari and Terapagos controlling that excessive amount of energy, they didn’t have enough stability or anywhere to expel the overflow of it. So me and Zygarde came up with a plan for Tari to stabilise this strange aura that’s currently being emitted passively out of her arm which we believe is linked to that incident at the lab:

“Build a full team of six Pokémon alongside Terapagos and have them all reach their full potential, Tari and Terapagos undergo the transformation again but this time, share the excess amount of Terastal and Mega Energy to the rest of her Pokémon team so that her other Pokémon can Terastallize/Mega Evolve in unison. This way, the two of them should be able to safely assume that special form and act as one alongside the rest of her Pokémon team and have enough power to disperse all of that bundled up Tera/Mega Energy. Thanks to using surveillance via the Zygarde Cells in the physical world, I know that she’s caught 4 Pokémon so far excluding Terapagos, one of which is a species capable of Mega Evolution, being her Chandelure. If she can obtain a Chandelurite Mega Stone, catch two more Pokémon, ideally one that can be Terastallized and the other one that can undergo Mega Evolution, this should give her the best chances of her, Terapagos, and the rest of her team stabilising the overflow of Tera/Mega Energy and safely assume the advanced digital form that they were in originally to redeem part of Project: Meta-Stellar Genesis’ goal and then work for a way to get ourselves back into the physical world too”.

After Lucinia and Ceruledge takes that plan in, the former then says and asks “I see…. That does sound like a really structured plan to all of this, but how are we going to help Tari and the others to all of this while our consciousness are stuck in TASCorp’s server?”. Zayla replies by explaining “Even though we can’t really help directly, I reckon we can push them in the right direction by providing hints and other guidance through other means as we are currently made out of data, so I believe we can just split up into multiple data particles just like what Zygarde does with its cells to go searching around for any hints that we can use to help the others on the outside whilst in the server. Speaking about Zygarde though and how it uses it cells to gather intel and power up, I also found out that at least half of its cells have been merged into the server just like our minds and other Pokémon were when the explosion happened thanks to the Zygarde Cube that I have in the physical world. This means that the rest of Zygarde’s cells are still out there in the physical world but we can still use them to keep on gathering intel, including the one that’s with your close friend. This also means that Zygarde here, while stuck in the server, can only transform as far as its 50% form due to this but that shouldn’t be any problem though.

Slide 3: Lucinia and Ceruledge again takes all this in. The former nods and intriguingly says to Zayla “I think I kinda know what you mean but you’re making quite a few Zygarde references to all of this huh. Not to say that you’re wrong, it’s just bizarre how most of what we are revolving around right now are linked to some traits of Zygarde, such as personal things such how you “balance” yourself when boxing and how we should monitor and guide the others on the outside by alternating into data particles like how Zygarde sends its cells out like security cameras. Kinda going off topic a bit, but what was it like to first meet and catch it anyway? I bet that was quite the backstory for you.”, followed up by Ceruledge saying curiously “Ruledge…”.

Zayla chuckles a little and says in a calm tone “I guess that was a lot of detailed info to take in now so I’m alright to shift focus, no problem at all! Heh wow, it was several years ago now, back around when I turned 19 actually. It was before I met Terrin as I met him and Terapagos a few months later after this story but I was studying in the environmental sector at a college just outside of Lumiose and I wanted to get out of campus to do some research on the environment as well as grow stronger as a Pokémon trainer. I am a descendant of a family that specialised in bonds and Mega Evolution, along with a little bit of detective work strangely enough, according to my parents and elders that is. They also mentioned that my bloodline is tied to our ancestors who witnessed the iconic Prism Tower being originally built around 2250 years ago which is insane to think about but I digress. As a result, I chose to follow through with my parents’ heritage by getting stronger along with building up my bonds with my Pokémon and my Meganium in particular as she was my starter Pokémon after all”.

Zayla then looks over to Zygarde and continues with “Getting back on track, I heard the Legends about Zygarde and how it was environmentally focused too so I went on a training week around where Zygarde dwells in Terminus Cave in Eastern Kalos for the small off chance that I may at least catch a sighting of it. In the end, it was the one who caught a sighting of me! I was… speechless. This type of thing shouldn’t happen this quickly but I had a feeling that Zygarde was curious about me and my team and that’s why it showed itself. However, it went further than just showing itself, it also sensed my determination and drive that it chose to challenge me and my team to test just how strong we were”. After a very long and difficult battle, I just about managed to defeat it in its 50% form with my Mega Meganium and the rest of my team combined, apart from Hitmonchan as I caught him several years later. I was surprised we were able to do it as my Pokémon team wasn’t filled up with Pseudo Legendaries or anything like Masa’s team is but I wanted to stick to a dated quote that stuck with me, being “Strong Pokémon. Weak Pokémon. That is only the selfish perception of people. Truly skilled trainers should try to win with their favourites”. Moreover, Zygarde then decided that I was the one to entrust it to witness all the fruits of my labour in terms of my knowledge about future risks to the ecosystem, along with how the environment is faring in the Silica Metro Area”.

Following this story, Zygarde then proudly says “Zehgarrr”, to which Zayla smiles and carries on with “One of my main long term objectives with Zygarde is to make Lumiose and specifically the Silica Metro more sustainable in terms of energy as it was built roughly in place of the Lumiose Badlands where the Kalos Power Plant is, the facility which powers the entirety of Lumiose plus the Silica Metro. The main use of that power plant now is to supply the immense need for electricity in this city because video gaming and other amenities, particularly in the Silica Metro, use up a lot of electrical power as you could imagine with its society strictly revolving around it”.

Lucinia and Ceruledge reacts to all of this in amazement and awe with the former saying “Gosh, you’ve been through a lot and still have your future and monumental goal planned even in your young adult years till now but managing to prove yourself to a prominent legendary such as Zygarde? You’re an amazing person you know that Zayla? No wonder Belle looks up and respects you. I’m also glad to be having these types of conversations for a change with someone who isn’t a Meta Runner, or hell even a gamer. Don’t get me wrong, I liked talking about glitches and speedrun strats with my homegirl Belle, as well as Meta Runner Tech with my sis Sofia, but those conversations can get stale after a while with your entire life revolving around them in this society. Even if me, Ceruledge, and my other Pokémon are stuck in a server, I’m glad it’s with someone who’s very responsible and strong, even if they are from outside of the gaming world.

If we ever do manage to get back to the real world, we should collaborate on each other’s goals. Like me, you, Belle, and Soph can all brainstorm ideas in proceeding with finding a more renewable way to power Lumiose for us Meta Runners and you can help me and Belle in regards to Mega Evolution during matches such as Battle Blaze and Tempest? I do have a Glimmora that I would Mega Evolve during games but even I find it difficult at times to adapt to both its Toxic Debris and then its Adaptability ability when it Mega Evolves. As for Belle, she hasn’t actually got a Pokémon that can Mega Evolve as she can’t seem to decide what to use. But that’s me throwing ideas at the wall. How about it?”.

Zayla happily replies to Lucinia with “Absolutely! We can work all that out when that happens. Your words mean a lot Lucinia, thank you. I’m sorry that we’ve wounded up in all of this mess but me and Zygarde are determined to get us out of this, however we can. So long as you and Ceruledge are too!”. Lucinia responds to Zayla in agreement “Definitely! As I said; Tari, Terapagos, and the others have suffered enough out there without us, it’s time I should get out of my comfort zone and take action too”.

Slide 4: Zayla enthusiastically responds to Lucinia’s determination with “Great! We can play our part in all of this, even with how to subtle to them it may be. For now though, we’ll just have to wait until Tari or the others come into contact with TASCorp’s servers which links them to us for us to make our move to guide like you mentioned. In the meantime though, care to try some shadow boxing with me to ease your mind after all of this talking?”. Lucinia is caught off guard by this suggestion but then replies with “Oh seriously? Right now? Sure, why not! I haven’t boxed since I was in high school at my home turf in Nimbasa City though but I’m up to giving it a shot again. If Sofia was here, I bet she would be eating all of this up seeing me box instead of game heh. Although I rather watch and learn before looking like a fool and doing it without the experience you have.”, and then asks Ceruledge “How about it Ceruledge?”, to which her partner responds with a determined “Ceru!”.

Zayla then smirks, gets into a boxing stance, and begins to bounce back and forth as well as also bobbing and weaving lightly. She then says “Alrighty then, try and replicate my form and punches! Don’t worry if you can’t get your form 100% right, it’s not like anyone else is watching in here. Also if you can visualise an imaginary opponent, that’ll help your form too. I’m definitely going to visualise my opponent being Evelyn due to her very existence making me want to punch her to sleep. I can see myself looking toned and focused while she is acting flashy with the rim of her boxing shorts saying something tacky like “E-Queen” or something. The both of us are having a stare-off right now as if we’re just about to have a professional and competitive bout, joined by my Hitmonchan and her Tsareena. Although, knowing her, the last thing she’d would do in there is “fight professionally” so I would really need to work on my form and swings if I want to send her to dreamland”.

Lucinia starts to feel a fire fueling her spirit and says in a more serious tone “You know what, I’m going to visualise Evelyn too because up until now, I didn’t have anybody that I downright hated, but what Evelyn is doing to your daughter and her dad’s Terapagos is making me at least scold her back into form, especially with her making fun of the strange aura coming from Tari’s Meta Runner Arm! That’s like mocking someone’s chronic illness!”. Zayla responds to Lucinia and Ceruledge’s newfound determination and says ”That’s the spirit! Let’s do this!”, and then shouts over to “Evelyn” with “Time to say goodnight you pink rogue!” and begins to shadow box while saying passionately “Left! Left! Right! Rgh! Rgh! Ragh! Eat my Z-Extreme Speed Combo! HRGH! Right Cross in your mug! Left Uppercut to snap your skull back! And a Right Hook to the solar plexus to knock your arrogant spirit away!”

TARI, TERAPAGOS, AND FLOETTE’S ENROLLEMENT (Slides 5 to 10)

Slide 5: Back at TASCorp, Tari and Terapagos have just arrived at their room whilst being escorted by a TASCorp Agent. The both of them enter and the Agent locks the door, not before Tari and Terapagos looking back at the Agent suspiciously. Tari sits down on her bed and pulls out the phone with the Pocket Gakusei dating sim opened and notices a message at the title screen saying “A Fairy Type is recommended to be with you during your experience”. Tari reacts to this by saying in her head “Huh? Is that so? Every time I warp into video games, Terapagos follows me in no matter what and he’s not a Fairy type but I do have one though”.

Tari proceeds to send out her White Flower Floette with the latter saying “Floetta!”. Tari then says to Floette “Alright Floette, I know it’s been a while since you were involved in my gaming but now it’s your turn to join me and Terapagos in this… err… experience”. Floette affirms with “Fla Floette!”, with Terapagos cheerfully saying “Pag Terapa!”. Tari then takes a deep breath and lies down on the bed, not before saying out loud “Ok here we go. Don’t worry guys, we’ll talk to you soon”. Tera crystals begin to form around her body as Tari along with her Pokémon warp into Pocket Gakusei!

Slide 6: After a short moment, Tari and the Pokémon appear to be in a classroom with the former being in uniform. Tari then gets out of her seat to which she and her Pokémon suddenly hear a voice saying “こんにちは？新入生ですか ?”, to which all of them are caught off guard by! The voice then says “そこに誰かいますか?”. Tari’s Meta Runner vision activates and loads up a “Tutorial Guide” which makes her see two beings behind the front desk: A black-haired girl with light blue braided pigtails and a blue/pink custom-made cropped pullover to boot, alongside a penguin Pokémon with an ice cube for a head! The girl then talks to the penguin Pokémon, seemingly asking “やあ、クーリッポ？こちらは、私たちが指導する任務を負った新しい学生ですか？彼女はかなり不安そうです。”.

Slide 7: Tari then tries to communicate with the two of them by saying “Oh err, hello there! I’m so sorry, I don’t speak er-“, to which her Meta Runner vision suddenly activates a function which can directly translate what the girl is saying! Tari reacts to this by saying “Huh, didn’t know I could do that”. The girl then introduces herself by saying to Tari whilst her Meta Runner abilities are translating “Hello, I’m Yukina-Chan and this is my partner Koolippo! It’s nice to meet you all! Sorry for talking behind your back, I was just wondering if all of you are alright”. Tari kindly replies back with “No worries, it’s nice to meet you too Yukina-Chan and Koolippo, my name’s Tari-“, to which now her Pokédex vision activates to tell Tari about the penguin Pokémon, with it stating:

“Eiscue, The Penguin Pokémon, An Ice Type, Eiscue have their head encased in a solid cube of ice to protect themselves from the heat. It uses its single hair as a fishing rod to lure in and catch prey”.

Upon reading this, Tari says with curiosity “Huh, so this Pokémon’s name in English is called Eiscue instead of Koolippo like it is in Japan, that’s cool!”. Whilst Eiscue is happily greeting Terapagos, Yukina-Chan suddenly spawns closer to Tari and her Floette to say “Hey Tari-Chan, Terapagos, and Floette! Welcome to Jubilife City’s very own Gakusei University! I’ve been assigned by the higher ups to give you a tour around campus, along with also giving you this!”. Yukina-Chan then hands Tari a pink-coloured crystal with a ribbon pattern encased into it! Yukina-Chan then elaborates by saying “Your very own Fairium Z!”. Tari is surprised by this and asks “Whoa, this is sudden. Thanks but why are you gifting me this?”. Yukina-Chan replies by explaining “You see, I’m one of the more experienced students in the art sector here and I’ve been on this goal to draw every Z-Move from memory and the Fairy type one is the only one I’ve got left out of the 18 of them. I tried to ask my peers if they wanted to help me out with it but they said that the Fairy type Z-Move is too “stiff” and not “flowy” enough for their liking to be used by them. So since you have your beautiful Floette with you, I wanted to ask if you can help me with this task in exchange for being able to use the Fairy type Z-Move once you have a Z-Ring”.

Tari looks over to her Floette who is feeling very eager about the Fairium Z and looks back over to Yukina-Chan to say “Alright why not! This can help Floette get stronger as I haven’t use her in a while. Thanks Yukina-Chan!”.

Slide 8: Tari continues on with “I’ve actually got something to ask of my own if you don’t mind?”. Yukina-Chan is curious by this and replies with “Sure, ask away”. Tari does just that and asks “I’ve heard that my friend has also been enrolled at this err… school, and maybe you can help me? His name is Lamar Williams”. Yukina-Chan pulls out her phone and replies whilst checking on there “Lamar Williams huh? As far as I can see, I can’t see anyone that’s called that here. Many students here go by nicknames if that helps?”. Tari then has a few ideas and replies back with “Oh nicknames, nicknames, ok. Try Animeking20?”. Yukina-Chan searches but to no success, Tari follows up with “What else does he use? Otakuprince?”, but to no success again. Tari then immediately tries “xXBodypillowbossXx”, this makes Yukina-Chan, along with Terapagos look up at Tari with suspicion with Tari looking away in embarrassment that she just tried that type of “Nickname”, the former tries it but there are no matches for that either.

This makes Tari annoyed and turn the other way to say in frustration “Rgh, I know he plays this game!”. She then turns back round to say “Alright Yukina-Chan, I’m just have to go and search for him around the school”. Yukina-Chan responds in concern with “Are you sure Tari-Chan? You’re still new here and I was going to give you a tour around here anyway?”. Tari thinks for a bit and then asks “Sure, I guess we could see what’s around, maybe that can refresh my memory. Where do you want to show me fir-“. Suddenly, a high pitched scream suddenly comes out from somewhere which surprises Tari, Yukina-Chan and the Pokémon. Tari asks in surprise “W-what was that?!”, to which Yukina-Chan replies with “I don’t know! It sounded like it came from the University Park though, we should check it out!”. Tari is caught off guard by this and says “What? Oh gosh, is there a glitc- I mean troublemaker here?”.

Slide 9: Tari, Yukina-Chan, and the Pokémon go outside to the University Park to see what the commotion is all about until Tari notices something sparkly behind one of the cherry blossom trees along with what seems to be someone wearing green and black bottoms and shoes. Tari goes closer and says “Hey, is everything alright? Have you dropped something?”. Tari searches behind the tree for her to find the supposed person gone but instead she finds a sad, but rather shiny, looking plant Pokémon. Upon seeing it , she asks “Oh, are you alright?”, to which her Pokédex vision activates and loads up details about the plant Pokémon, stating:

“Petilil, The Bulb Pokémon, A Grass Type, The leaves that grow from Petilil’s head are very bitter but eating one can refresh a tired body. Boiling those leaves can also create a liquid that can be used as a bug repellent”.

After Tari takes in this info, she says with confusion “So Petilil’s your name, though you do look different from the Petilil that was shown in my vision…”. Yukina-Chan notices the Petilil and says with shock “Oh my gosh! That’s a Shiny Churine! You’re lucky to find a Shiny Pokémon!”. Tari says back to Yukina-Chan, still in confusion “Churine? Oh, yeah, translation. Thanks but I thought I also saw someone else back there and this little one doesn’t look like it’s doing good!”. The Shiny Petilil turns around and gestures towards a dark bird Pokémon cackling evilly while carrying a spiky orange stone.

Yukina-Chan notices this and says in annoyance “Oh no! It looks like that pesky Yamikarasu (Murkrow) has seemed to have stolen Churine’s Sun Stone that it was going to use for evolution! Yamikarasu are known to steal shiny things but still, we have to get it back! (*Turns to Eiscue*) Are you ready Koolippo? Use Headbutt!”. Eiscue attempts to run and headbutt Murkrow out of the sky to drop the Sun Stone but Murkrow dodges it! Terapagos growls at it with “Terrragh!”. Tari then takes action by looking over to Floette who is visibly angered by the thieving Murkrow and says “You feel the same way don’t you? Alright, voice out a Disarming Voice!”. Floette does just that by floating near Murkrow and then lets loose an impactful Disarming Voice with “Floeeeeeeeee!”. The attack deals super effective damage which causes the Murkrow to falter and drop the Sun Stone before annoyingly flapping away!

Now with the Sun Stone back on the ground, Petilil looks back at Tari with grateful blush while saying “Petili!”. Tari chuckles and says “Well I wasn’t expecting all of this out of nowhere, but me and Floette have got your back in that one!”. Yukina-Chan is getting a feeling as she says to Tari “You know Tari-Chan, I think you should catch that little one! It looks really grateful for that save you both pulled off and it looks like Churine wants to return the favour by being on your team!”. Tari smiles and says “You know what, yeah. I kinda have a feeling that we can be a really good duo in a match and this commotion kind of felt like… destiny in a way, with that feeling of someone back there too strangely enough”. Tari’s Meta Runner Arm materialises a Pokéball from it to which she grabs it and tosses it to Petilil who happily gets caught! Upon seeing this, both Terapagos and Yukina-Chan both say in excitement “Pago, Terapa!”/“Yay! What a beautiful catch! Congrats Tari-Chan!”. Tari feels warm and says back to all of them “Thank you all, really. Although I think it’s for the best for us to go inside in case something else happens!”, everyone else agrees and they head back into the classroom.

Slide 10: Now with all of them back in the classroom, Yukina-Chan says to everyone “Alright you all, it’s time to look around for Tari-Chan’s friend that she mentioned earlier!”. Tari responds to this by saying “Oh yeah, not gonna lie I completely forgot about that but let’s get back on track!”, followed up by all of the Pokémon happily affirming.

THEO AND OGERPON’S DIGITAL ANTICS, THE ENCORE (Feat. Belle and Armarouge) (Slides 11 to 16)

Slide 11: Meanwhile, somewhere at TASCorp, Belle and Armarouge are seemingly trying to sneak into a top secret room without getting caught. Upon seeing a security camera down there hall, Belle opens up her Meta Runner Arm to input a sequence of commands along with a passcode to the security camera. Belle then smugly says “At least that six months of hacking practice wasn’t for nothing.”, and proceeds to completely disable the security camera. She then says to Armarouge “Let’s go while we can Rouge.”, with Armarouge affirming with “Arma”. Belle then unlocks the door to the top secret room and both her and Armarouge enter it and it turns out to be the same room that they found the memory card with the corrupted Project: Meta-Stellar Genesis clips!

Slide 12: Belle and Armarouge then walks to a desk with a monitor with a cracked screen and the former types commands into it to wake it up. Whilst it’s booting up, Belle plays the corrupted clip of Project: Meta-Stellar Genesis with Dr. Sheridan and presumingly Lucinia, Zayla, and Terrin panicking before the explosion. Belle then looks over to one of the pods in the lab whilst listening to it. The monitor then wakes up and displays three symbols, being the Mega Evolution, Terastal, and Tari’s Blue Crest symbol! She then grabs a gaming controller on the desk and places inputs into it as well. The monitor finally fully boots up with Theo and Ogerpon in their confinement box on screen! Theo is pulling funny faces to humor himself and Ogerpon with the latter laughing as a result. Belle then does a small chuckle and says “Hello you tropical duo”, and then picks up a microphone on the desk to further ask “Yo, you two. Can you hear me?”. Theo and Ogerpon hear the Belle’s voice and says “Huh? God?”/“Ponyo pa?”. Belle replies to this casually with “Clooose, but no. It’s Belle with her trusty Armarouge”. Theo thinks after saying “Belle, Armarouge…”. Theo’s forgetfulness irritates Belle a little into saying “You know! Belle! Fontiere? And the Pokémon who’s always by her side? World class Meta Runner?”.

Slide 13: Theo and Ogerpon are seemingly still stumped on trying to remember Belle and Armarouge with Belle continuing on with “Come on you two, we literally talked yesterday! Me and Armarouge hunted your friends through Tempest with also a Koraidon, we had a car chase through the Silica Metro!-“. Theo then begins to smirk a bit with Ogerpon noticing this while trying to hold in a laugh while Armarouge begins to get irritated too. Belle continues on with “-You threw a coconut at my head at the streaming lab!”. Theo then “remembers” who Belle and Armarouge are with him saying “Ohhhhh! The angry shouty duo!”. Belle rolls her eyes and says “Agh, yeah, sure, whatever. Listen you two, I need you to do something for us”.

Theo then nonchalantly replies back with “Really? Well I’ll be honest, just then wasn’t a very good pitch on why we should help you two”, to which Belle says “Good point, but what about helping Tari and Terapagos”, with Armarouge following up with “Rarouge…”. This peaks Theo and Ogerpon’s curiosity with them saying “Go on…”/“Pon…”.

Slide 14: Belle then further explains to Theo and Ogerpon with “Tari and me, we’re really looking for the same thing: Information on Project: Meta-Stellar Genesis. And the only place to find it, is deep in the TASCorp Server. Theo thinks for a little bit with him saying “Okay, yeah-“. Although as it turns out, some TASCorp Scientists are watching Theo having this conversation with Belle. Theo carries on with “Ok, so you two bust us out of here, and all me and Ogerpon have to do is to find something in the server”, with Belle replying with “Yeah, play your cards right and me and Armarouge may even be able to get you two back to Tari and Terapagos”. Theo then pulls out the Elder Tomato from his pocket to ask “What do you think Elder Tomato?”, in which the Elder Tomato responds by saying random gibberish with Ogerpon feeling a little frustrated as he sees the Elder Tomato’s help as a waste of time.

Theo and Ogerpon then says back to Belle “Ok, we’ll help you out. But we’re doing this for Tari and Terapagos, not you two. Understand?”/“Pon ponyah!”, to which Belle casually responds with “Sure you two, whatever you say”. Theo then eager asks Belle and Armarouge “Alright, so what’s the game plan huh? How are we breaking out of this joint?”, which Belle smugly replies with “Kid, I held the Ultra Jump Mania Speedrun Record longer than anyone else in the world. I probably know you and that Ogre’s abilities better than you do”, and proceeds to attempt to control Theo with the gaming controller. This catches Theo by surprise with him stumbling and struggling while resisting Belle’s inputs with Ogerpon yelling out in anger “Ograghpon!”.

Slide 15: This annoys Belle and Armarouge into saying “Kid, would you stop fighting me?!”/“Arma, ragh!”. Theo then says under his breath “Alright… you could’ve told me what you were going to do though. I thought I was being controlled by a Ghost Type here!”. Belle hears Theo and calms down to say “My bad. Alright, just relax yourself and let me control you from the outside. (*To Ogerpon*) Ogerpon, follow Theo as best as you can while wielding your Ivy Cudgel, got it?”, in which Ogerpon reluctantly affirms. Belle takes control of Theo for real with Ogerpon trying to follow closely behind. Belle then has Theo run his face against the wall of the box with the latter saying while muffled “I haven’t felt like this in a while”. The TASCorp Scientists begin to watch Theo and Ogerpon’s antics. Belle then says to Armarouge whilst activating her Meta Runner Arm “Alright bud, on my cue…”. Belle then proceeds to rapidly mash commands into the controller to make Theo pull out and put away his coconut shell rapidly while enjoying every bit of it saying “Weeeee! Faster, faster!”. Belle then calls over to Armarouge as she inputs the final command into the controller “Now! Expanding Force!”. Armarouge quickly sends psychic energy into the system which causes Theo and Ogerpon to seemingly float in the air for a few moments in confusion until suddenly spinning around in their default states and then launching themselves rapidly towards the front screen of their confinement box to clip completely out of it! This absolutely startles all of the Scientists watching!

Slide 16: Theo and Ogerpon then fall into the TASCorp Server where they were before. Belle then says proudly “Infinite Spin Clip. Haven’t had to use one of those since 100% runs were popular. Good job Armarouge!”, with Armarouge feeling equally as proud! Theo and Ogerpon then get up excited and say “That was awesome! Let’s do that again!”/“Grah pon poni!”. Belle then gets everyone back on track by saying “Focus you two! We got you out of that room, now it’s your turn. Remember, you two are looking for anything about Project: Meta-Stellar Genesis.”, to which Theo and Ogerpon reply strongly with “Roger that Mission Control! We’ve got it from here!”/“Pah grah pon!”, and then begin to run through the server to search with Belle and Armarouge keeping a close eye on them.

Hey all, Chapter 4 Part 1 of my Meta Runner X Pokémon fanfic is going up shortly (probably tomorrow or the day after that it depends) and this one is going to be the most meaty chapter in terms of plot/lore as of right now which is going to impact the rest of the story, along with also featuring the OC that I made for that’s going to be playing a part in the Pocket Gakusei Arc that I mentioned in my previous post. I thought I’d just give you all a heads up on this with this combined piece I’ve made from existing drawings that are going to be the main focus along with the rest of the chapter.

When it comes to this piece though, Tari has successfully acquired the phone with Pocket Gakusei to attempt to contact MD-5. In the background amongst all of this however, it seems like Zayla and Lucinia’s “spirits” are planning on something within a digital space alongside their partners, Zygarde and Ceruledge. They’ve also seem to have come up with their own theories to what’s going on with Tari, her Meta Runner Arm that’s emitting the strange pink and cyan aura, and Terapagos, along with having a heart-to-heart conversation about their own worries, plans, and goals for the present and beyond for themselves and the others…

Hey all. Now that Season 2 Chapter 3 has been posted on this Subreddit, I’m now getting into the Pocket Gakusei Arc of the story. As most of us know, a popular Vtuber called Kizuna AI makes a collab appearance in Season 2, Episode 4 and 5 of the canon series. However, I’m planning on overhauling a significant portion of this segment in the fanfic’s events. Specifically, I’m going to be replacing Kizuna AI and doing so for two main reasons: One, Kizuna AI isn’t associated with Glitch Productions and I would feel iffy about including a separate copyrighted character/person with the risk of getting into trouble, and two, I have some ambitious ideas for how the Pocket Gakusei Arc and setting would be in my story, one of these ideas is creating a whole new original character to fill in Kizuna AI’s shoes whilst also feeling unique at the same time.

A teaser silhouette for this OC that’s going to be strictly revolved around Pocket Gakusei is on the second slide and I’m really looking forward to covering more about her and this arc in general along with the story and the plot. This is because it’s starting to get more spicier as there is going to be a bombshell of plot beats starting from S2 CHP4 onward and it’s going to feel the most “fanficy” in a while with more original concepts that I’ve came up with in this upcoming chapter. Said chapter will come out a little bit later than usual due to this but hope y’all are looking forward to seeing it for yourself when it’s up! Until then, have a great day!

(Part 2)

Slide 1: As the siren goes off to alert everyone for the Turbo Crash 9 showdown, Marco and Kingambit walk up from above with them saying through their microphones “Welcome everybody to the main event! The Turbo Crash 9, deathmatch free-for-all!”/“KIIIINGA! GAMBIT!”/“And we’re lucky enough to have a very special guest tonight. All the way from the top of the world, to rock bottom here in the Rustworks with the rest of us: Masa Shimamoto…”/“Gambi…”. Masa looks down in a little bit of shame due to recalling his supposed history with TASCorp while Marco and Kingambit carry on with “Now, he and his Pokémon are more accustomed to a glitzy TASCorp sponsored tournament, so we’ll have to show them how we play here in the Rustworks! Gentlemen, START. YOUR. ENGINES!”/“GAM KING AMBIT!”. Within Turbo Crash’s game, the location is looking barren and post-apocalyptic with weapon power-ups and swinging obstacles. As the match loads in, multiple weaponised vehicles with Pokémon spawn on top of them spawn in to prepare for a rough match.

Slide 2: Marco’s Kingambit transfers itself into its Poké Ball and then into the game as Marco starts the countdown! During it, Lamar says to Masa “Focus man. We in this together.”, to which Masa responds confidently with “Let’s do this”. In-game, Masa’s Dragapult is giving Marco’s Kingambit one last stare before the match is now started! Every team goes on the offensive. Lamar’s vehicle and Masa’s Dragapult is gunning down an enemy’s vehicle and Sigilyph with shots and Dragon Darts while the opposite do the same with Sigilyph countering with Psybeam! Meanwhile, two opposing teams are going at it until Marco’s large truck rams them clean off the road with the help of Kingambit’s Kowtow Cleave! Upon demolishing the vehicles, Marco’s truck gets an upgrade from it.

Slide 3: Masa tries to focus on the match but is distracted by Marco’s strong laughter with the latter saying to the game “Woop! Scuse me, coming through! Ahahahahaha!”. Lamar gets Masa back on track by saying “I’m taking us to the blocks alright? There’s always a good weapon spawn there.”, with Masa nodding in affirmation. Lamar’s car with Dragapult swerves around and enters a built up area with a weapon upgrade waiting. However, an opponent with their Mienshao get there before them and their vehicle upgrades. Lamar confidently reassures Masa with “I got this one man, hold on tight”. The opposing vehicle starts shooting and Mienshao attempts to use Knock Off onto Dragapult but Lamar swerves his car out of the way and circles around the opposing team to create a dust cloud ring to obscure their vision. With the opposing team out in the open, Lamar then rams his car into the opposing one and Mienshao with Masa calling over to Dragapult to use U-Turn to deal the finishing blow!

Slide 4: With that opposing team eliminated, a weapon power-up spawns in their place, which is taking by Lamar’s vehicle. His vehicle upgrades to have a grappling hook item to which Lamar says excitedly “Ooo, a grappling hook. That’s a good one.” and nudges Masa’s shoulder but the latter gets Lamar to focus up by saying seriously “Lamar”. It turns out that Lamar’s car and Dragapult have almost been surrounded by three other teams. After a bit of suspense Lamar reverses to escape while the others start attacking. One of the enemy teams’, being an ice cream truck and their Vanilluxe pair attack with the latter attempting to use a devastating Blizzard attack onto Dragapult but Masa calls out with “Dragapult, Phantom Force quick!”. Dragapult just about avoids the Blizzard by vanishing and reappearing again onto Lamar’s car!

Part way during the chase, Masa attempts to block the enemy teams by using the grappling hook item to pull part of a wine bottle structure onto the road but all the others avoided this. Everyone goes on the offensive with Masa and his Dragapult trying to buffer the enemy vehicles with bullets and Dragon Darts again but to no use. Lamar realises this and says over to Masa “They got armour! You need to hit between the plates man!”, to which Masa replies while feeling overwhelmed “I can’t get a good angle here! We need somewhere we can split them up”. After a little bit of thinking, Lamar responds with “I think I know just the place.” and proceeds to drive his vehicle and Dragapult off the road and into a cave area.

Slide 5: The cave area is filled with turns and circular saw obstacles on the ground.
As Lamar’s car and Dragapult try to avoid the other teams pursuing them, Lamar gets irritated and activates his Meta Runner Arm to give improve his driving in the rough terrain, not before shouting out in anger “Y’all want my arm?! COME AND GET IT!”. Lamar then swiftly drives through the saw obstacle course whilst Masa is still firing away. Masa then takes his chance to call over to Dragapult “There! Use Thunderbolt on Sigilyph! We’ve got them!”, in which Dragapult does just does that and lands a knockout blow onto the enemy team’s Sigilyph, just as their vehicle gets destroyed by one of the ground saws! Lamar then says over to Masa “Hey, we “saw” that coming!”, to which Masa smirks at and focuses back up. The battery continues on until the last three enemy teams are chasing Lamar and Dragapult down, Masa frustratingly says “We can’t take both of them like this!”, Lamar responds casually with “Well I’m open to suggestions man”. After a little planning, Masa replies with “Follow my lead. Dragapult, heads up, literally!”.

Slide 6: The players then enter the cave portion with rugged rock spikes hanging down from the ceiling, Masa calls out “Now! Dragon Darts on those rock spikes!”. Masa then begins to follow suit by shooting at the rock spikes, as does his Dragapult doing the same with Dragon Darts to cause the spikes to fall down! The spikes manages to crush two of the enemy teams with only the ice cream truck and Vanilluxe remaining! The ice cream truck is forced to drive off a ramp, Masa then orders Dragapult “Alright! Use Phantom Force to drag Vanilluxe into the portal and send it into the ravine!”. Dragapult does exactly that and forces the opposing Vanilluxe to unexpectedly go through its Phantom Force Portal! Masa then uses the grappling hook to grab onto the midair ice cream truck and the swing it down into the ravine. Vanilluxe appears on the other side of Dragapult’s Phantom Force portal to be suddenly met by its own team’s vehicle swinging right towards it! Vanilluxe cries out in absolute shock “LUXXXE!” and is then crushed by the ice cream truck swinging into it whilst the vehicle is also demolished!

Slide 7: Masa grins in amazement upon pulling that strat off with Lamar complimenting him and Dragapult with “Not bad you both!”, and Masa responds with “Just trying to lend a hand”. Lamar then drives his car and Dragapult out of the cave and back onto surface level. Lamar looks around on the map and worriedly asks “What happened to the other teams?”. After a bit of suspense, Masa suddenly senses something and then calls over to Dragapult whilst using the grappling hook to pull the car away “Phantom Force!”. Suddenly, Marco’s truck attempts to ram Lamar’s car and Dragapult with the help of Kingambit’s Kowtow Cleave but is narrowly avoided at the last second!

Slide 8: Marco then laughs heavy and says over to Lamar and Masa “Gahahahahahahaha! Hello boys! How’s the view down there?”, to which Lamar smugly replies with “Well, I didn’t think it was possible, but you got bigger AND uglier!”. Masa then says in surprise “Look at all those upgrades. He must have farmed half the players in the game! Surely his Kingambit has been worn out a bit at this point?”. Marco cockily says down to him “Well what do you think we were doing while you all were hiding in that tunnel? Here, let me show you my favourite one”.

Marco then activates some spikes on his truck’s tyres and then attempts to ram Lamar’s car and Dragapult with the help of Kingambit’s Kowtow Cleave again while Dragapult fights back with Dragon Darts along with Masa’s battery. A team-on-team duel ensues and part way through it, Marco’s Kingambit manages to land a Thunder Wave onto Dragapult which Paralyses him!

Slide 9: Marco then fires out a batch of rockets that indiscriminately target Lamar’s car and Dragapult but are avoided. Masa and Dragapult attempts a double battery onto Marco and Kingambit but the latter are unfazed! Lamar shouts in frustration “Argh! This is pointless! They’ve stacked too much armour! We don’t have a weapon that can punch through!”. However, Masa responds to this whilst noticing their next potential move “Yes we do. Head for that tower!”. Lamar replies in shock with “Are you crazy?! It’s out in the open! His cannons will tear right through us!”, to which Masa desperately responds with “Just trust me on this Lamar!”. Lamar answers back after a little consideration with “Alright, I trust you”.

Slide 10: Lamar’s car and Masa’s Dragapult U-Turn’s around a corner and towards the centre of the map where the tower is with Marco’s truck and Kingambit in hot pursuit. Marco then fires his whole arsenal of rockets. Catching the chance, Masa calls over to Dragapult just in time “Now, use Thunderbolt on Kingambit! He’s wide open!”. Dragapult lands a critical hit with Thunderbolt onto Kingambit while also paralysing him! Masa attempts to shoot down the volley of launched rockets alongside Dragapult but Dragapult gets fully paralysed and the rockets were too much for Masa’s battery which causes Lamar’s car and Masa’s Dragapult to take heavy damage. Lamar tries to start the car up but it blows out, with him saying in shock “Argh the engine’s blown, we can’t move!”. Following this, Marco says casually “Well it’s been a pretty good game boys but, all good things must end eventually. Now, just stay right there…”.

Slide 11: Marco then activates his Terastal option on his left mechanical arm while saying “Kingambit! Assert your dominance with glaring control!”. All of a sudden, Kingambit begins to Terastallize and it’s revealed that he’s done it to the Steel Type! Kingambit yells out in strength “KING AM BIT!”. Marco then calls over to Tera Kingambit whilst preparing his truck to say “Now, use Iron-“, but is unexpectedly immobilised by his mechanical arms malfunctioning in a purple electric frenzy?! Marco is completely caught off guard and says desperately “What the?… Come on you stupid arms! Kingambit! Carry on without me with Iron Head!”. However, Tera Kingambit struggles as he becomes immobilised by being fully paralysed now! Lamar glances up at Marco and then back at Masa who is now acting more confidently with the latter saying smugly “Hey Marco! How’s the view up there?”. Masa then aims his shots up high while calling over to Dragapult with “Use Dragon Darts on the chain!”. Both attacks land and breaks the chain which is holding a heavy skull stone which then proceeds to crush Marco’s truck and Tera Kingambit, eliminating them!

Slide 12: Marco is completely lost for words as he says under his breath “Kingambit didn’t even get to… (looks at his mechanical arms) what… was that?”. Masa then walks up to him formally while saying “Good game you two. If you don’t want to talk that’s fine, we’ll just take our winnings and be on our way”, and then puts his hand on Marco’s left shoulder. Marco doesn’t take lightly to this and yells back at Masa with “That game doesn’t COUNT! You were dead, but my arms malfunctioned and Kingambit got parahax’d!”. Masa then cockily responds back to this with “Huh. Imagine having to play a game with only half your arms. I’ll bet that’s hard”. Marco then walks slowly to Masa in increasing rage while saying “You did something didn’t you, you cheating LITTLE-“, to which Lamar and Terrin intervene strongly with “Hey, back off man!”/“Oi enough! They’ve won fair and square, throwing an outrage won’t do you any favours!”.

Slide 13: Sofia then steps up to Marco to say “That’s right. Marco, this is your arena, you know the rules: No excuses, no special treatment. We won, and we won our prize”. Marco looks back at Masa and Lamar before turning away and ordering one of his grunts “Give them their winnings. NOW!”. One of Marco’s grunts does just that and hands Sofia a case. Marco then continues in frustration with “There’s enough parts in there to build Golden Boy a new arm. Take it and get out”. MD-5 listens to Marco’s word and exits the Rustworks with Masa’s new Meta Runner Arm components. Marco watches them exit from the balcony along with his Kingambit who looks up at him and asks in reassurance “Gambi?”. Marco replies back with “Yeah… I’m good”. However Marco then feels his left shoulder where Masa put his hand on and then seemingly realises something…

Slide 14: Back in Lamar’s real car, MD-5 all sigh a strong breath of relief and chuckle a bit with Sofia and Terrin saying “I have NEVER seen Marco that angry. I thought he was going to tear you apart with his own… four hands.”/“Seriously though, my heart was beating three times a second there. I don’t like to get involved in confrontations but this was a different story. I’m just glad we made it out in one piece!”. Lamar responds to both of them with “Yeah you both doubted us, but I told you Sofia and Rin! So long as me and my man work together, we can get through anything! (To Masa) Up top!”. However, Masa just blankly looks back at Lamar to which the latter says casually “Uhh, well put this on hold till we get that new arm installed.”, in which Masa simply says “Thanks”.

Slide 15: Lamar then changes his tone to ask Masa “You… didn’t do it, right?”, which Masa responds with “Do what?”. Lamar continues with “What the big guy said, cheat?”, where Masa replies in a seemingly confused tone “I thought you said you trusted me Lamar”. Lamar reacts to this by focusing on his driving in a serious manner. Masa then looks away, but then looks back while holding a small disk device in his grip and turns it off, and places it back into his pocket as MD-5 drives back to Masa’s apartment.

(Part 1)

Slide 1: Somewhere deep in the Low Tier, an intense round of a game that involves shooting and smashing down enemy vehicles using an array of weapons and your chosen Pokémon partner is taking place! Two heavy voices then shout out to his teammate “Finish him! FINISH HIM OFF!”/“KINGA! KINGAAAMBIT!”. His teammate manages to destroy his opponent’s car along with also defeating the opponent’s Heliolisk who was trying to charge up a Parabolic Charge but wasn’t able to in time. The guy with the heavy voice who is also wearing a large backpack of machinery of sorts then says passionately to the opponent “Yes! Another one in the bag! Time to pay up corporate boy…”. The opponent desperately begs to him by saying “No, please! You can’t take my Meta Runner Arm! I’m nothing without it!”. The bulky man alongside his Kingambit says smugly to the guy below “Your in the Low Tier friend, you’re already nothing!”/“Kingaha!” and then basks in the crowd applauding them both.

Slide 2: Suddenly, one of the big guy’s guards says to an arriving visitor “Stop right there!”. The visitor, who turns out to be Sofia says over to the big guy casually “Heeey Marco, long time no see…”. Marco turns around to welcome his old friend with “Wehell! If it isn’t miss vigilante hacker herself. What are you doing back here Sofia?”. Sofia then replies to Marco smoothly with “Ahh ya know, I was just in the neighbourhood and thought I’d drop by for some cybernetic implants!”. Marco reacts to this by asking with little confusion “Again? What happened to the Meta Runner tech you bought off me last time?”.

Marco then glances over to three more visitors, being Terrin, Masa, and Lamar, with Terrin looking a little bit nervous but he’s trying hard not to show it alongside Masa and Lamar looking tense. Sofia introduces them to Marco by saying “Marco, these are my friends: Lamar Williams, Terrin Briar, and-“, to which Marco finishes Sofia’s sentence off by saying smugly “Masa Shimamoto…. So the rumours were true. Lucks’ Golden Boy now just another decommissioned runner slumming it in the Low Tier”.

Slide 3: Masa, who is angered by Marco’s taunting, replies back to him strongly “I was NOT Lucks’ Golden Boy.” To which Lamar puts his arm in front of Masa to prevent anything from escalating”. Marco then responds arrogantly to Masa’s words with “Please, back in the day you couldn’t turn a corner without seeing your arrogant mug plastered on some TASCorp billboard”. Terrin then says in his head “Yeesh, he’s one to talk big. Although, the tech on him does look advanced for average Meta Runner Tech. I wonder how he uses Terastal with this unique build as both his arms are in tact?”.

Marco then looks down at Lamar’s Meta Runner Arm and says with interest “Ohh that’s a nice piece. Twin-gauge Tera velocitators with triple system synaptic feedback”. Lamar doesn’t take lightly to Marco’s eagerness and says sternly to him and gestures “Hey, eyes up here man”. Sofia then gets to the point with Marco as she says “So Marco, here’s the situation. We need a new arm, but I don’t have the money to pay for one this time. So, I was hoping we could enter one of your tournaments and win one instead?”. Marco replies to her with “Sure. You got an entry fee at least?”. Sofia responds to this with concern “Yea… I was hoping you could waive our entry fee? Remember, you still owe me for that Luminous Gaming hack I helped you out with”. Marco then throws a comeback to this by saying “Yea, but you still owe ME for bailing you out back when you were in that mess with the Rolling Cartridge Gang”. Terrin and Masa both look over to Lamar in confusion to which the latter shrugs as he’s unsure on what Sofia’s past history was regarding what was mentioned.

Slide 4: Marco continues on with “You know the rules, Soph. No excuses and no special treatment. Not even for friends and superstar celebrities. Either pay the entry fee or move along”. MD-5 are all stumped for a little bit on how to proceed until Lamar steps up and says with resolve “Alright. How’s this for an entry fee then? You were drooling all over it before. One game of Turbo Crash 9, an arm for an arm”. Marco perks up to this bet and says “Alright…. We play deathmatch, co-op mode, (Marco then points over to Masa) and HE enters as your partner”. Marco then begins to taunt Masa again with “What’s wrong Golden Boy? Can’t win a game from Daddy Lucks?”.

Slide 5: Masa nods at Sofia and Terrin to reassure them and replies back to Marco whilst walking towards him “Fine. I bet I could beat you and your Kingambit with one hand tied behind my back”, and then places his right and only hand on Marco’s shoulder tech. Kingambit notices this and says “Gambit ga?”. Marco then brushes Masa’s hand off of him while Lamar then asks Marco “So, who’s your partner man?”. Marco confidently replies whilst his tech on his back opens up to reveal an extra set of mechanical arms with the right having a Mega Evolution Keystone on the back, and the left having the Terastal symbol on the back “Oh, I don’t need a partner”. Terrin then brashly says upon seeing this “Huh, I guess Dr. Octillery IS real and is also the wielder of Pokémon gimmicks. Even so, that is a really impressive setup he’s got there, one arm for Megas and the other for Teras…”. Marco responds to Terrin with “Don’t I know it”, and then turns around to say to Lamar and Masa “Game’s gonna start soon boys. You better get ready.”, with Kingambit throwing an intimidating look at them while saying deeply “Kinga…”.

Slide 6: Meanwhile at TASCorp, Tari and Terapagos have gone to Evelyn’s room to try and get a hold of the anime dating sim that she stole from a TASCorp Scientist. The former knocks on the door but with no answer so she let herself in by opening the door on a panel. As both of them go in, Tari says to herself “That shouldn’t have been so easy but I’m not complaining”. Terapagos then says with confusion as he looks ahead “Pag… pago…?”, to which Tari turns around to see Evelyn’s room being all dolled up along with the room being primarily pink themed, she then says to herself “And we’re the ones whose brains they’re studying?”, but then focuses up by saying “Okay, focus Tari. The faster you and Terapagos find that game, the faster the both of us can contact MD-5, and the faster you both can get out of here. Let me know if you manage to find it Terapagos!”.

However, Terapagos is too busy eyeing down some pink lollipops on the desk, saying happily “Terapa!” before starting to eat a couple of them. As Tari is searching Evelyn’s room, she repeats to herself “Find the game, contact MD-5, get out of here. Find the game, contact MD-5, get out of here!”, before eventually finding the game in one of the drawers next to the bed!

Slide 7: Tari says to herself upon finding the game “Yes! Well, that wasn’t so hard. Don’t worry Terapagos, I found it”. Suddenly, the door to Evelyn’s room opens and in come Evelyn herself with Tsareena! Tari quickly reacts to this by hiding the phone behind her back and then says to them both “Evelyn! Tsareena! What are you doing here?”. Evelyn angrily replies back with “It’s my room you creeps! What are you two doing here?!”. Terapagos just finished one of the lollipops it was eating in its mouth next to Tari and says in an elated tone “Terapagogo!”, but then notices Tsareena staring down at him strictly while saying “Tsaaaaaa…”. Terapagos is completely caught off guard as he didn’t know Evelyn and Tsareena were here for this long and yells in shock “TERA?!”.

Tari replies to Evelyn’s initial question worriedly “Umm, well, we were just…”, until Evelyn starts to get suspicious of Tari hiding something behind her, she questions this by saying “What are you hiding back there?!”, to which Tari responds quickly with “Nothing!”. Evelyn then begins to corner Tari to a wall whilst squinting stronger and stronger at her that Tari couldn’t help herself but smirk. Tsareena is also staring down Terapagos more intensely but the latter is having none of it and begins to growl at the former with “Pagaaagh…”.

Slide 8: The tension suddenly breaks when Belle enters the room to say “Hey Evelyn and Tsareena, I need you both in the…”, but it slowly cut off by her natural confusion to see Evelyn and Tsareena being so close to Tari and Terapagos respectively. Tari then slowly reveals the phone that she was trying to hide and reluctantly gives it to Belle. Evelyn taunts Tari by saying “Oooo, naughty naughty! Lucks said you’re not allowed to have your own video games. He’s going to be so mad when he finds out!”, followed by Tsareena laughing arrogantly with “Reenaha!”.

Belle then says in a formal tone “Tari, Terapagos, come with me. Evelyn, Tsareena, wait here”, to which Evelyn and Tsareena answer back in a sad and frustrated voice “Aw, but we want to see the punishment!”/“Reena! Tsargh!”. Belle is having none of it and responds strictly to them both “I said wait here you two!”, to which they both scoff at and do. However, right before Tari and Terapagos leave with Belle, Terapagos throws a snarky grin at Tsareena as she along with Evelyn had just been put in there place, along with Terapagos knowing that it just committed “Petty Theft Lollipop”.

Slide 9: As the three of them move down the hallway, Belle suddenly passes the phone to Tari and says “Here, take it”. Tari and Terapagos are surprised by this with the former saying “You’re not… going to tell Lucks?”, in which Belle replies in a casual tone “Please…. He and his rules can suck it for all I care. Besides, it’s just a weeby dating sim. What’s the worse you could do with it. Also I felt like you’ve gone through enough crap as of late so I figured a romance game would mentally help you, daughter of Miss Astrida”.

Tari gratefully replies back with “Thanks… and hey, I know I’m the daughter of Zayla but why do you look up to her so much?”, Belle responds to this with “Let’s save that for another time as we’re on CCTV here, also don’t mention it about the dating sim, I mean it or else the three of us are busted”. Tari does a small nod to her and she along with Terapagos goes on their way with Belle smiling, just for of that to be broken apart when Evelyn and Tsareena came out of their room for them to both ask her “Did Lucks come already?! I can’t believe we missed it! How mad was he? Did he yell? Did they cry? Tell me everything!”/“Tsaree! Reena re!”. Belle sighs in annoyance and then goes to deal with the two of them.

Slide 10: Back at the Rustworks, Masa and his Pokémon Dragapult and practicing in Turbo Crash 9, with the former shooting the gun on the top of the car with his single handed controller, and the latter testing out its Dragon Darts move. Sofia and Terrin both at him and say with concern “Are you going to be okay like that?”/“I know that you and Dragapult are really competent but Dragapult is at a Type Disadvantage against that guy’s Kingambit, along with the fact that you won’t be able to Terastallize Dragapult without a Meta Runner Arm on you”.

Lamar then reassures them both by saying “Hey, chill out you two. With me on the wheel and Masa being in control of battery alongside Dragapult, no one’s gonna stop us! Time to put all of the skills I learnt from Ray into this, even if it is a video game. Check it”. Lamar then drives the car around a corner and towards some targets. Masa and his Dragapult tries to shoot at them but miss completely. This embarrasses Masa a lot but Lamar lightens the mood by saying “You know what? That’s my bad, I put you two on the spot. Heh, err…”. An alarm then goes off to which Sofia and Terrin say “It’s starting. Good luck boys.”/“You two, this is going to be a tough game especially without the use of Teras, but try and find a way to work around Marco and Kingambit’s defences, you both got our support”.

(This chapter won’t have any parts and it’s just going to be one post because of how short the actual canon episode of this is, with Season 2 Episode 2 having the shortest run time in Season 2)

Slide 1: Lucks and his Luxray make their way into an elevator at TASCorp. Whilst the lift is descending, the former says to his earpiece “Project log, Day 183, Research on the natures of subjects 1017 remains… inconclusive”. The two of them then exit the elevator and enter a large room consisting of multiple screens and a large monitor at the front. Lucks then continues saying “They both continue to display potential far beyond the normal computer program. An attempt to replicate their manifestations in the physical world have proven… fruitless. But if we can crack this specific enigma, along with if the subject, being a computer program, can also have their own “Synthetic Meta Form”, then I have no doubt this will be the greatest discovery in the history of computer science”.

Lucks then nods to a TASCorp Scientist to turn on a function of the large monitor in the room. After a brief moment, it shows Theo and Ogerpon in one of the corners of their confinement box with them saying “Maybe… no. Hmm, what about… eh no that’s worse. Any ideas Ogerpon?”/“Pon po…”. Lucks then gets the two’s attention by clearing his throat which makes them try to not act shifty.

Slide 2: Lucks then maturely asks them “Good morning Theo and Ogerpon. And how are we today?”. Theo sarcastically replies with “Well let me see. We’re still stuck in here! Just like yesterday, and the day before that, and the day before that.”, followed up by Ogerpon saying in an annoyed tone “Grrgh pon…”. Lucks sits down and says to them “Now you two, we’ve been through this. The room is a necessity, otherwise the two of you would still be glitching out or just frozen in a memory card, you’re safe there. Just think of it as your home”. He then nods again to the TASCorp Scientist to input a different command. Theo and Ogerpon are still not happy with Lucks’ feedback but are suddenly caught off guard by a wooden stool spawning in next to them.

Lucks gestures for them to sit down, they do just that but not before Theo and Ogerpon glancing back at the corner that they were just in and the former saying back to Lucks “Well we had a home before someone crushed it, had a lot more stuff in it too”. Lucks then replies with little regret “Yes, and that was regrettable. But believe me, we are working on a way to get you two out of that room. Wouldn’t you both like that?”. Before Theo responded to Lucks’ statement, he quickly whispers to Ogerpon “Alright, follow my lead like we’ve been practicing”. Ogerpon reacts with a little surprise but then quietly affirms. Theo then responds to Lucks’ initial question with “Well that does sound nice…

Slide 3: … but we’re pretty sure that we can get out of here ourselves!”. Theo and Ogerpon then jump up and both manage to clip partially into the wooden stool and begin to clip around whilst making noises from their UJM game sound library! Lucks and Luxray grow suspicious on what the two of them are up to. Theo and Ogerpon then clip their way to the wall on the right and begin to faze through it with their voices coming quicker when suddenly… they managed to clip out of their box! Not before striking peace signs at Lucks and Luxray on the last frame.

Slide 4: Lucks then stands up in shock and turns around to the TASCorp Scientists to ask “Where did they just go?!”. The Scientists are just as shocked and don’t know themselves. Lucks then shoves one of them off their seat to manage their system to see where Theo and Ogerpon are. Lucks searches around until the system displays “WARNING: DATA ANOMALY DETECTED IN SERVER”. Lucks then says with shock “Are they… in the server?!”.

In a deep purple and black space with a futuristic atmosphere, Theo and Ogerpon both fall onto a platform that spawns which is made up of purple and black hexagons. They both jump up with joy and say “Crackerjack! We’re freeeeee!”/“Ponio! Pon PonYAAAA!”. They then look up at a tower made up of blue data particles in awe and start to run towards that way to explore the server!

Slide 5: As they are running, Theo and Ogerpon both jump and bounce off a blue data cube that reacts by flashes red for a moment. This causes one of the systems in TASCorp’s cellar to glitch out for a moment. Lucks then demands the scientists to get Theo and Ogerpon back but all of them are unsure on how. Lucks grunts in annoyance and goes back to the system he was using to activate a data partition program. Back in the server, multiple red digital columns rise up high to prevent Theo and Ogerpon from advancing but the two of them manage to clear it by the former throwing his coconut and then jumping on it to climb over the columns, and the latter using her Ivy Cudgel as a pogo stick to bounce over.

Slide 6: The system alerts Lucks on this so he then activates a quarantine program. In the server, this causes a quarantine bot to suddenly appear and grab Theo with Ogerpon shouting in anger “Ogragh!”. Theo stressfully says “No! I can’t go back to jail! You’ll never take me alive!”. Ogerpon then throws her Ivy Cudgel at the quarantine bot like a javelin just as Theo attacks the bot with his coconut! Both attacks land on the bot, causing it to explode and sending Theo, his coconut, Ogerpon’s Ivy Cudgel into a data cube! Ogerpon shouts out “PONYAGH!” in horror and then jumps into the data cube as well!

Slide 7: Meanwhile in another part at TASCorp, Tari and her Quaquaval are dueling Evelyn and her Tsareena in a futuristic arena with Tari and Evelyn’s avatars looking robotic. The two girls are clashing with their swords while Quaquaval is using Aqua Step and Tsareena is using Trop Kick to clash in their own duel! Evelyn and Tsareena seem to be backed into a corner by their opponents skill but then the former suddenly shoots out a grappling hook from her palm to yank a cube structure onto Tari and Quaquaval while they get out of the way. The cube knocks the both of them over and stuns them. Evelyn and Tsareena stands tall over them with Belle and her Armarouge spectating, the former saying “Ugh they got gotta stop falling for that trick.”, followed up by her saying to Evelyn and Tsareena “Finish her off Evelyn and Tsareena…”, in which Evelyn and Tsareena smugly do so.

Slide 8: Upon being defeated, Tari, who’s wearing a monitoring device on her head, exits her Tera-warped state while feeling dazed with Terapagos feeling bad that Tari and Quaquaval lost. Belle and Armarouge then say to a TASCorp scientist in an annoyed tone “Well? Go unhook her…”/“Arma ragh…”. The scientist does just that but not before almost walking past Tari’s gaming room. Suddenly a data screen in front of Belle and Armarouge begins to glitch out with the two of them saying in confusion “What the…”/“Rouge ra…”. Theo and Ogerpon then fall onto the screen and then look up at Belle and Armarouge nervously and say “Uhhh hi…. You wouldn’t happen to know where we are would you? The servers is surprisingly big and confusing.”/“Oger po ponio pa…”. Belle responds to this with “Server?…. YOUR IN THE SERVER?!” with Armarouge just as shocked as she is!

Slide 9: Theo nonchalantly replies to Belle with “Yeah, me and Ogerpon did this thing where we fell off a stool a bunch of times and (Suddenly, more quarantine bots arrive to try and capture Theo and Ogerpon) uh oh, (Theo throws his coconut to destroy one of the bots) YE-AH! (The other bot then grabs Theo whilst he is distracted and flies away out of the top of the screen! Ogerpon then yells “PON!” and pogos up with her Ivy Cudgel to follow them!). Belle and Armarouge shout out in shock “Hey wait! Get back here!”/“ARRRMA!”. This catches Tari, Evelyn, and the TASCorp Scientist’s attention with the former along with Terapagos questioning in confusion “Is everything alright?”/“Pag?…”. Belle and Armarouge try to cover it by saying passionately “YES! Yeah! We’re fine! Aren’t we Armarouge?”/“Ragh ha ha!”, and continuing on with “Look we’re done for today just… just get out of here!”.

Slide 10: Theo and Ogerpon both fall back into their confinement box and look over to see that the wooden stool is being removed. Theo looks at Lucks who is watching on the other side of the large monitor chuckles before asking “So um, is that offer to get me and Ogerpon out of here still on the table?”, to which Lucks sternly looks at them both before closing his connection with them. Theo sighs and says to Ogerpon in a deflated tone “Well, it was fun while it lasted right?”, with Ogerpon sadly replying with “ Gapon, ya…”. In the TASCorp cellar, Lucks turns around to all of the TASCorp Scientists sitting down and says to them in an angered voice “Would anyone here care to explain how they did that? (*No answer*) The greatest minds at TASCorp, and none of you HAD ANYTHING TO SAY?!”. Lucks calms down and continues with “I want them monitored, analysed, and studied until we figure out what exactly makes them tick. Am I clear?”.

Slide 11: Back at where Tari, Evelyn, and their Pokémon were having that duel, Evelyn storms out of her gaming room and says in frustration out loud “Ugh, why do I have to share my debut match with someone who has a charisma and gaming talent as a malfunctioning Bot-Boy?!”. Tari and Terapagos poke their heads out of their gaming room with the former saying “You know I can hear you, right? And also your Tsareena had a type advantage against my Quaquaval”. Evelyn replies with sass “I know! Other Meta Runners’ Pokémon that I faced who had a type disadvantage against me could hold their own more than you ever could”.

Evelyn then bumps into a TASCorp Scientist which knocks the phone he was holding out of his hands. Evelyn then yells at the scientist with “Hey! Watch where you’re going you lummox!”. Tari then grabs the scientist’s phone which is showing some lovely-dovey anime gameplay with a cutely pitched Japanese voice saying “Pocket Gakusei!~”. Tari looks at it with confusion while Terapagos is mesmerised by the bright and sparkly colours, he says with wonder “Pagaaaaa…”. Evelyn then snatches the phone out of Tari’s hands which angers Terapagos into saying “PAGO?!”, and then Evelyn proceeds to taunt the Scientist by saying “Pocket Gakusei? Well, that explains your mask. I’d hide my face too if I played an online anime dating sim!”.

Slide 12: Upon hearing that, Tari questions out loud “Online anime dating sim?”. Evelyn then attempts to taunt Tari by saying “Seriously? On top of everything else, you’re an otaku as well?”. Tari replies to this with “No! Well, I mean there’s nothing wrong with being an otaku (the Scientist points at Tari to agree on that point). Some of my… best friends are otakus…”. Evelyn teasingly replies to her by saying “Wait, you have friends?”. This triggers Tari to feel angry in her head for 2 seconds but she doesn’t show it and then calms down. However, the strange pink and cyan aura from Tari’s Meta Runner Arm from earlier emits again.

Evelyn and Terapagos notices this and the former says in an arrogant tone “Welp, your Meta Runner Arm agrees with me! It’s releasing that fine pink “Evelyn” colour!”. This really angers Terapagos into shouting “TERAPAGO! GOS! PAGOS!”. Tari then notices the aura too and frantically gets it to stop while saying “Dang it! Not again!”. Evelyn laughs while the scientist tries to get his phone back from Evelyn but she notices and teasingly says back to him “Ah! Buh buh buh! You’re not getting this back! Say goodbye to your waifus because they’re mine now.”, and then walks away down the hall saying “Who would even play this thing?”. Tari then gets an idea and says to herself “I think I would know who would play that, don’t you Terapagos?”. Terapagos replies deep in thought with “Terapaga, go…”

Slide 13: Now outside and into the backstreets of the Lumiose Silica Metro; Lamar, Sofia, Terrin, and Masa are all hanging out quietly in an apartment until Lamar tries small talk with Masa by saying “So… nice place you got here”. Suddenly a guy wearing a digital helmet and a scruffy coat bursts into the apartment saying in annoyed tone to Masa “Hey Masa, you still owe me money for- (The man notices the others in the room and continues in a more friendly tone), oh you got guests heh my bad”. Lamar continues on sarcastically with “Nice neighbours too”. Terrin, whilst having his eyes shut, questions in his head “Why did that guy sound-?“, until Masa breaks the silence by saying “Ok, let me make sure I understand the situation. Belle found your phone back at the arena, and it has the entire TASCorp server backed up on it”. Sofia confirms by saying “Right, and if the alerts that I’ve been getting are anything to go by, she’s been trying to get into it herself. She’s probably trying to find some answers on the server as well”.

Masa responds to Sofia by saying “So I guess she finally came to her senses, just wished she’d done it a little sooner. Alright, can’t we just send her the decryption key so she can access it?”. Sofia frustratingly replies back with “TASCorp really upgraded their security ever since we did that whole “crashing their server” thing. Anything I try to send Belle is just going to get flagged by the company’s firewalls and tip off Lucks about the phone”. Masa reacts in annoyance and says back to them all “You know, for a moment when you guys showed up I actually thought you had some good news”.

Slide 14: Lamar then chimes in after this by saying “Well hold on. Terrin here remembers some crucial info and we also have one more speed bump we got to get over: Tari, Terapagos, Theo, and Ogerpon”. Masa brushes this off by saying in an angered tone “What about them”. Terrin reacts to this by angrily saying under his breath “Oh you did not just say that…”, followed up by Lamar saying urgently “What about them? They’re stuck at TASCorp being used as Lucks’ human and Pokémon shields! They’re are friends, and they’re in danger!”. Masa quickly responds to this in rage with “THEY ARE NOT OUR FRIENDS!”. This causes Terrin to lash out in pure paternal rage at Masa by yelling “SHE’S MY FRICKIN DAUGHTER!”. This grabs Masa attention whilst Terrin continues on while breathing heavily in anger “And I haven’t seen them both FOR SIX MONTHS! We came to find you in that time, just like you did with the rest of us when you formed MD-5 all that time ago!”.

Masa then yells back with “ENOUGH! Theo and Ogerpon were spies for TASCorp, and your daughter and Pokémon partner was involved with Project: Meta-Stellar whatever and Dr. Sheridan!”. Terrin desperately replied back with “I’M TO BLAME FOR THE LATTER TWO!-“. Suddenly, Masa’s neighbour burst into the apartment again and then moment he does, Terrin says in an angered tone “Ugh SERIOUSLY!-“, to then just be cut off by the neighbour casually saying “Knock! Knock! Hey Masa, can I borrow your- oh you’re still busy. I’ll come back later”.

Slide 15: After the neighbour leaves again, Lamar says to Masa in a sincere voice “Look, I don’t know about Tari, Terapagos, or Project: Meta-Stellar Genesis and all that mess, but Terrin knows ball about all of that and that’s why he was eager to regroup with the rest of us. But we made a promise to those four. We promised we’d keep them safe and we didn’t! I don’t know if you left behind more than just an arm in that arena. But the Masa I know would do anything to keep a promise”. Sofia then adds on to this by saying “We wouldn’t be here right now if it wasn’t for the sacrifice she made… we owe her Masa…”. Terrin calms down and then says in a somber tone “The bare minimum we can do now, is plan… SOMETHING… out. I really, REALLY want to get us all out of all of this. This has been a burden on my shoulders just as it has for you”. After a lot of consideration, Masa finally replies with “Alright… a promise is a promise. We’ll get them out of there”.

This makes everyone relieved with Lamar saying “Now we found Masa”, with Terrin saying in a genuine calmer tone “Thank you, Masa. We’ll crush TASCorp, find out the true light about Lucinia and Zayla, and get my precious daughter and Pokémon back. I’ve found out more leads on Project: Meta-Stellar Genesis that can help our case in destroying TASCorp and know more about what the Project was truly about”. Masa walks over to the window, smiles a little, and says back to Terrin “Alright, what kind of “leads” have you got?”. Lamar pats Terrin on the back and says “Fire away Rin”. This makes Terrin chuckle and say

“When I was thinking about anything that I could possibly use to remember what happened, I first called back to when Belle showed the beginning of that corrupted Project: Meta-Stellar Genesis clip back at the arena and that made me remember when we saw Lucks’ goons tamper with Tari’s Meta Runner Arm at the Speedrunners Arena when she and Terapagos were warped into UJM, thanks to Sofia’s spy bot that she used to get that footage. That reminded me that at some point during the project, an engine was uploaded and built into her Meta Runner Arm that is basically a battery of Mega Evolution and Terastal Energy. The engine had a name and its initial purpose was to be the catalyst of a virtual ethereal transformation, just like the one that I mentioned when Tari was playing Battle Blaze. I’ve remembered a few other things revolving around the Project but other than that, I’m still trying to remember the name of this specific ethereal form and what the engine to power this transformation is called. However, I believe that part of the name of that form had an acronym for something. When I figure out those main things, I’ve got a good feeling that my memory will open up even more on the topic, such as what was the actual purpose of this ethereal form existing”.

Slide 16: Masa replies to Terrin’s knowledge with “That explains a lot of things right off the bat, including that shockwave that Tari’s Meta Runner Arm created at the end of UJM as a result of Lucks’ team drilling into that supposed engine in the arm”. Lamar than eagerly asks Masa “You already got some plans of your own cooking up in that head of yours don’t you?”, to which Masa replies with “A couple… yeah, but for any of them to work, I going to need a new Meta Runner Arm”. Sofia answers this with “Ok, well telling you right now, we are waaay too broke to buy one… but we may be able to win one”. Masa looks at Sofia with a confident look on his face, relit by the combined efforts of Lamar, Sofia, and Terrin’s willpower and resilience!
