Soo pretty much the title, but I’ll give more context because it may require a more refined perspective.

So I was playing a skins match (matchmaking, 90 VC buy in, not high rollers) and it just paired me with 1 other guy because it wasn’t finding anyone else to bring in. We play 4 holes, he wins 1, I win 3.

We tee off on the 5th and 2 shots later we’re both putting, his is a little outside of being an easy putt, mine is a gimme. He misses by a millimeter and then I get hit with a long black load screen, then see the “not enough players to continue the match” popup.

So, since I have an awkward amount of VC and couldn’t tell my total fluctuation for gained/lost VC, does the game count that as I won the hole and the remaining 4 holes and award me 160 VC? Or does the game just eat both our buy-ins and give me bumpkis?

Any insight or other experiences is appreciated. Just wanna know because if it just calls it a wash and takes our VC, what’s stopping people from doing this anytime they are 1v1ing and start losing? Sounds like the meta for losing tbh

Edit: Just had this happen again. I started with 10,790 VC after buy-in, won 2 holes and he left. I now have a total of 10,970 VC so I am up 90 VC after getting my buy-in back so it seems to award you the VC for holes won plus winning the remaining holes!

Was playing some four ball, and more times than not we get to the second hole and 1 person has a bad shot then I get hit with a long black screen load time just to see “not enough players to continue round”. I get it, I’ve been not on my game before too, but we still have 7 holes to play and you just missed 1 chip my guy. Super annoying, wish EA would put a 10 minute wait period for online matches if you quit mid round, this no consequence system just makes for half rounds and a lot of fun being taken out of the game. Some of the most fun rounds I’ve had I was down 2 and made a 3 hole swing to bring home the W. If you wanna rage quit then just play career mode or quick play, but for the love of the game please respect peoples time and tough it out till the end in online
