Drain the entire swamp
New leaders, new promises, big words like reform and change. But after the excitement fades, we are back to the same cycle. Is the problem really the leaders or the system they all step in to, because when you have a closer look, no matter who comes in, they still have to work through the same structures, networks and incentives that already exist. If the systems and networks stay the same, even different people, however much they sell the change narrative, they will always produce similar results and get swallowed by the system.
Kenya’s governing structure is deeply shaped by proximity networks instead of institutional meritocracy. So the networks just adapt and survive different administrations.
IMO, what we need is a total reset, ground up. Almost scorched earth, and then maybe we can see the change.
The entire swamp needs to be cleared out!!
