Survived my second night.

It went normally. Well, as normal as being hunted by haunted animatronics can be.

That rotting rabbit guy is still locked in the walk-in fridge. I'm not letting him out.

The animatronics and I made a deal that they'd leave me alone while I make myself pizza. At least they have decent manners.

*Out of nowhere, in the middle of Metropolis*

A portal opens; a rift through time itself. Through that rift, I step out, wearing a casual button up and slacks.

So, this is Metropolis in 2026? How colorful.

Therapy

[Dr. Harper] Welcome to your first session, Mr. Gray.

[Nathan] Please just call me Nathan.

[Dr. Harper] Is there a reason why you prefer your first name?

[Nathan] Already trying to dig into my head?

[Dr. Harper] Just a starting conversation, Mr. Gr- Nathan.

[Nathan] It's alright, doc. We're here for a reason. Just go ahead and ask your questions.

[Dr. Harper] Do you remember why you're here, Nathan?

[Nathan] Because I punched a guy in the face?

[Dr. Harper] You seem to not be very remorseful. Why is that?

[Nathan] I just struggle with showing my feelings.

[Dr. Harper] I see. Why did you do it? What were you feeling in that moment?

[Nathan] It wasn't him I was aiming for...

[Dr. Harper] Excuse me?

[Nathan] You heard me.

[Dr. Harper] Could you explain?

[Nathan] ....... Do you believe in ghosts?

[Dr. Harper] ... I believe anything could be possible in the mind-

[Nathan] So you don't?

[Dr. Harper] ... What do you believe?

[Nathan] I've always been cursed. It, uh- It started when I was 5. I don't remember much, but there was this guy that always stood by the well in our backyard. My parents never saw him, but I did. He called to me. I was a dumb kid, so I thought he was a family friend. Maybe someone from my dad's work.

[Dr. Harper] You followed him?

[Nathan] Yeah. And I'm pretty sure he was going to drag me into that well. Luckily, my mom caught me. I kept saying there was a man in the well. Nobody ever believed me.

[Dr. Harper] You said this started when you were 5. Does this mean-

[Nathan] I still do... I see things people aren't supposed to see. Spirits. Angry, sad, depressed, I usually see the worst ones. ... The worst possible outcome is if they notice I see them.

[Dr. Harper] What happens then?

[Nathan] ... They start to think I'm someone else.

New job

I got hired by this weird guy. The pay sucks, but so does my apartment. So I guess it evens out.

Any tips?
