Tracker Leather AT sole falling apart after 7 days of hiking. Anyone else? Alternatives?
I’m honestly pretty shocked by this.
I’ve been wearing Vivobarefoot Trackers since the first model and my previous pairs usually lasted 1 to 2 years. I used them a lot for hiking and also as everyday outdoor shoes around our farm, so they definitely were not treated gently.
I bought a new pair of Tracker Leather ATs and after around 7 days of hiking I noticed that pieces of the outsole are already breaking off in several places.
These were normal hiking trails. Some rocky and stony sections, of course, but nothing technical or extreme.
Now after returning my Trackers, I’m wondering if I just got a bad pair or if there is an issue with the material/lower quality of the newer model...
In other words: I'm thinking whether I should get a new pair of Trackers or start looking for alternatives?
Has anyone else had issues with the Tracker Leather AT?
Which barefoot hiking shoes would you suggest as alternative?
