My tree branches extend 12’+ into neighbors property. Can I cut them on my side and remove the entire branch from his property?

We are building a fence, and have neighbors from hell on almost every side.

This particular section is 12-15 Norway spruce trees that have never been trimmed and are probably 40-50’ tall at this point. The trees are very close to the property line, but the trunks are 100% on my side. However the lower limbs extend well into the neighbors property.

Can I just trim them on my side and remove the branch without stepping foot on their property and be done with it? Is it really that simple?

We had a recent survey done so I can verify with 100% certainty where the property line is.
