like after i do road opener spell, there's salt and other things. what do i do with it? just throw it out? reuse it?

and what about food offerings? like candies and other stuffs, is it okay if i eat it myself or should i throw it out, give it to somebody else?

i've looked up online but i feel like people are saying different things so i'm curious which one is the proper way. TIA!
