Out-Of-State Candidates

Hello, I want to know how do schools usually look at out of state candidates for art teacher positions? I'd be willing to relocate, but would need an emergency/provisional license for out-of-state applications.

Elementary Art Teachers- Unmotivated Students

Something I wanted to ask you if you teach elementary art is how you deal with unmotivated students who don’t care at all about art and don’t feel like doing any work when they are with you? For HS and MS, students have more of a choice of whether they want to take art or another elective, and the teachers in the higher grade levels seem more willing to fail students if they don’t do any of the work at all. So how do you deal with unmotivated students who lower the morale of the classroom overall?

Hello, was it hard for you guys to get your first job as an art teacher especially if you come from an arts background instead of an educational background?

I want to know, do you guys have students year round if you’re teaching an elective to students in middle school and do you have the same students everyday like most middle school teachers? Or is the classes usually in a quarterly/daily rotation between different groups?
