Tree started to lean towards our home after windstorms.

Normally we drop trees ourselves, but this one started to lean towards our home after a few wind storms, so rather than risk it, we paid an arborist to drop it. It took them almost 10 minutes to drop her after cutting started.

How do I go about fixing the water damage?

Closed on the home 10 days ago and want to know the best way to go about fixing the water damage. The roof was replaced before we closed, so the leak has been repaired. It's a 70s home, and the fireplace was a huge selling point for us, so we want to keep the existing feel and charm of its age. Can I sand the wood paneling, or does it need to be replaced? If it needs to be replaced, what materials should we use to keep the same look?
