New Home Laser Setup

I just got a Unity Elite 5 Pro FB4 and have been doing some Googling on the best way to use the laser at home. From what I’ve read the safest option that was not thousands of dollars is cement board pained white. So I have a 5’ by 6’ sheet of cement board that is painted with outdoor flat white latex paint. My laser will be approximately 16 feet from aperture to the cement board. With it being a 5W laser and only 16 foot distance what is the highest power percent you would recommend staying under?

Clinic Recomendations

I’ve been having a lot of upper GI pain that gets bad about 10-15 minutes after eating as well as with deep breathing, pressure, and laughing. I’m not sure if it is Crohn’s related but my GI seems to have given up on trying to find a cause. He’s put me on Omeprazole for months, Budesonide for a month, and Mirtazipine for a month with no changes at all. Labs mostly look good, slightly elevated CRP and Calprotectin. CT and MRI are clear. A colonoscopy showed mild inflammation still and an endoscopy showed a hill grade IV hiatal hernia. As of now that seems to be the only thing they’ve found. He refuses to even consider the hernia as the cause for my pain.

Does anyone have any recommendations for clinics in the US? All clinics near me are booking 2+ months out. I’ve been dealing with this for 2.5 months already and have lost almost 50lbs. I can’t keep this up for another 2+ months. At this point I’m pretty much willing to go anywhere that has openings.

I’ve read about Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC, Yale Nee Haven Hospital in CT, Cleveland Clinic in OH, and Johns Hopkins in MD being good places that people have gotten help from when other places haven’t been any help.

New to Worship Leader Role

Hey everyone, long story short the Worship Leader at my church was let go and I was asked by the Senior Pastor to serve as an interim Worship Leader while we figure out what our next steps will be. I will likely be in this position for at least a year is what I’ve been told.

I’ve been playing on worship teams for the past 12 years with my main instruments being bass and acoustic. I am able to fill any gap in instruments that come up though.

I have led the team when worship leaders were on vacation or sick but this is my first time being the person solely leading a team. I am looking for advice on things that I may overlook or just advice that others have learned the hard way. Some questions I have are:

- How can I help prevent burnout for team members?
- What is the best way to try and get more volunteers for the team?
- What are things that I can do for the team to show that their volunteering is appreciated and I see the time and effort they put in?

Feel free to give me any other advice that may be helpful.

We have what I would call an average size worship team (about 23 volunteers total) but are limited in our electric guitar and drum areas.
