Sprained my ankle pretty bad at Apex Center public skate yesterday, and I just wanted to share how the folks there really came through for me. One dude came to stand by me so I didn’t get run into while I was sitting on the ice unable to move. Another guy got me up and supported my weight as I hobbled off the ice. Skate guard got me an ice pack. A few other people were just saying nice things and giving me encouragement in a fairly distressing moment.

In a world full of negativity, I wanted to share this example of human kindness from our community. I’m super grateful to these strangers and will keep it in mind the next time I have the opportunity to pay it forward.
