Valley Vista Public Waldorf
My son is starting TK in the fall and we're zoned for valley vista public waldorf. I'm curious to hear everyone's input, especially from people zoned for this school with younger kids going there now that it's a Waldorf school.
We did a tour back in January and it seemed pretty good. A solid combo of Waldorf and public/traditional/local with Petaluma peeps. We just went back tonight for the open house and honestly, I'm second guessing it. I was surprised to overhear a lot of people coming from out of the area. It felt like the 'Waldorf community' (sorry, I don't know how else to say what I'm saying) got the memo and flocked to the school from out of town. I was just hoping for more local community and balance of vibes.
Please give me honest feedback!!
-I should note, we lived in Portland for a few years and if you want to see the worst kids and the concept of gentle parenting wildly misunderstood, go visit a playground there. That was the vibe I was getting tonight.
Tell me I'm just jaded and this is an amazing school!!! I love all the cooking just hopping there's a balance. For reference he's currently at tiny tots and thriving in every way, we LOVE it there. Minus the part that you have to pay.
