Do I have the dreaded TOH here?
A couple of weeks ago, I noticed a tree in my backyard on the edge of a strip of woods that seemed to have gotten much bigger, and then I saw that it had compound leaves. This got my attention as I have spent many years pulling up Wisteria and Mimosa that pop up all over my yard and gardens. They are relentless. I’ve also gone through the strip of woods cutting them down whenever I see them.
But I had somehow missed this particular tree and now it has gotten much bigger. A few days later, I randomly came across a Reddit post from here about a tree called Tree of Heaven, which I had never heard of. After reading all the comments and watching some videos I think that that’s what I have here. Actually there are two trunks coming up from the same spot, each one around 9 or 10 in diameter. I just want to be sure before I start the process of poisoning it.
