experiences with imiquimod

my (26F) family doctor confirmed I have GWs, but did not refer me to a gyno yet. because of this i paid to see a nurse practitioner in a private clinic who prescribed imiquimod 5% for use 3 days a week. She insisted I start with this because GW removal with cryotherapy is really painful despite me wanting them gone ASAP.

I have used this cream for a week and am having extreme pain and swelling on my inner labia. I have many GW so it is hard to isolate an area for the cream. It is so painful now though I have to take a break as the skin is red and raw, but seeing no changes to the GW yet after only one week of use.

Anyone, especially with female anatomy, have any insight or experience with this treatment method? Should i push for cryotherapy if it is this painful anyways?

Thanks in advance.

Humber Second Entry RN Program

Hello all!
I am looking to hear the experiences of those who have applied to Humber Second Entry this year. What are your undergraduate grades like and how competitive is the application process?

I have a BSc with a 3.6 GPA and will graduate with an MA with high grades as well, I am hoping to apply for Fall 2027 or winter 2028 start dates. I don’t have the proper prerequisites for other second entry programs so I am really hoping to get into Humber. How long did it take to hear back and when did you apply?

Thanks!

looking for some encouragement

hello all - i unfortunately believe i have genital warts (26F). I had unprotected sex with a long term partner who had a number of previous partners, then about 5 months after no sex, have multiple small hard bumps appear on my outer labia, with a larger, cauliflower like bump appearing on my inner labia.

I am very stressed about this. should i bring this up to my family doctor? i am nervous to as he has not given me a physical exam since I was a child. would he do the treatment for this if they are warts or refer me somewhere else? i am in ontario canada for reference. would it be better to go to a public health unit for an exam/referral?

Can i ever have a normal sex life again? at this point i am fully abstinent and mortified but hope i could at some point have sex again… i understand i will have to disclose this but am hoping for encouragement- have others had genital warts successfully treated and had them go away? is the treatment extremely painful for women?

thank you in advance.
