With the new release of a GTA game, some criticism is coming out about how the physical copy is just a code.

i already had no intentions of buying it, but i'm wondering

is there any legal ground about them not actually giving out a physical copy?
what if i wrote out a recipe and sold it as food? Or put music notations in an album cover and sold that as music?
