Over booting adults?
Edit: my coaches skate tech is recommending edea overture. He boots olympians so i trust he knows his stuff but I’m nervous about how quick I’ve heard they break down! (And I’d rather not spend the money for the stiffer edeas if at all possible!)
Hi friends! I’m returning to the sport after 20+ years off. Unfortunately still in vintage skates from my childhood! I need a new pair bad and am struggling to pick one. I had a skate tech tell me I shouldn’t go lower than risport RF3 and that it might not last me a year (I’m in FS 2 working on pre bronze/bronze SS and landing single flip and toe loop skating 2-3 hours per week ). I’m going to see a second tech because that sounds wild (I’m also 5’5 and 125lb so on the smaller side). I saw a very gently used pair of RF1 come up on marketplace but don’t want to make the purchase until I’ve talked to more people because that seems like a lot of boot for me.
Thoughts on over booting adults?
