I’m fine with no hats. But no hats + no props (verticality) looks so weird to me. I can’t really explain why, it just looks odd. Does anyone else feel this way?

Isn’t a marching member paying upwards of $6K and then the corps not telling them them what their show is until late May-early June a form of financial exploitation?
Thought experiment: Corps A’s dues are $6000. Corps B’s dues are $6000. Corps A gets 1st place at Finals. Corps B gets say 15th place at Semis. Can it truly be said that Corps B received an equal value for their money as Corps A did? If not, shouldn’t Corps B get a partial refund?

The phenomenon I don’t see being discussed: Since 1996, every time a corps wins their first championship, they fall to 4th or 5th the next year…
That being said, do you think Boston will place 4th at best this summer?
