My BIL has given me an 2600. There’s no PSU so I’ve ordered a 9V 2amp one from Amazon. Before I switch it on are there any things I need to know or do first? Do the capacitors go bad and need replacing? Are there any known issues with the console or cartridges?

Any help is most welcome.

I’m using IOS and tapped onto the Givenergy app this morning to see the green “Getting Things Ready” opening screen. It remains on this screen for ages, never opening the app. I’ve restarted both my iPhone and iPad and it happens on both, as well as with my partner’s iPhone. Is this just a problem for me or is anyone else having this problem. I’ve restarted both devices and it’s the same.
