Most durable vegan leathers?

Hey wonderful people,

I am in the process of going plant based and I am hitting a snag. I am a park ranger, and boy, do I wear out boots. I've tried the PVC type vegan leathers, and they don't even last half a season.

I would like to stop using cow leather, but I need a boot that won't fail on me when I'm a week into the bush with a week to go.

What vegan leathers last best? How do they compare to cow leather? Any suggestions for outdoor/hiking boots that don't contain animal products and last well?

Thanks so much for your wisdom

EDIT: I should add I have also tried nylon trail runners/hiking boots. With the work I do, they last a couple of weeks before falling apart. I should also specify that I often need CSA boots, which certainly narrows the range of what I can wear. Thanks again!
