Required weekly tests are performed each Wednesday at noon. If your radio does not go off, you either have bad service, the wrong channel selected, or failing internals which typically points to the tuner. Some weather radios have the alerts disabled by default, which will not sound the alarm, but should still display a light. If you see the green or yellowish light illuminated, your radio is working okay.
