You're offered 400 million dollars by one of the most evil serial killers in history.

This person has committed so many horrific crimes that reading the details would make most people sick to their stomach. He has never harmed you or anyone you care about, and he has absolutely no intention of doing so.

You are the only person who possesses a piece of evidence that would guarantee his conviction and put him in prison for the rest of his life. Without your evidence, he will be found not guilty and walk free.

Before the trial, he secretly offers you 400 million dollars to stay silent until the verdict is reached. If you accept, he will pay you every cent, guaranteed. He will never target you, your family, your friends, or anyone connected to you, either directly or indirectly. There is no trick, no betrayal, and no hidden catch.

If he is convicted because of your evidence, you receive nothing. He also has powerful criminal connections, and it is widely believed that many of his partners are still out there and have never been caught. While there is no guarantee they would come after you, turning him in could put you on their radar.

If you stay silent, he walks free with no legal consequences.

What are you doing?

Edit: 100 percent he will kill again just to be clear. If you let him go.

A witch named Qifrey gives you a set of magical containers. He won't teach you magic, he's only giving you these magical containers.

Each container can hold any food or drink you want, and it refills endlessly. The containers preserve everything perfectly. Food and drinks never spoil, and the temperature stays exactly how it is meant to be. Hot items stay hot, cold items stay cold, and neutral or cool items, like a ham sandwich, stay at a stable cool temperature. The containers themselves never wear out or break. The magic is powered by sigils drawn onto the containers, and it only stops working if a container is intentionally damaged.

The magic only responds to you, so only you can request what goes inside, whether it is water, bread, ice cream, cornbread, alcohol, or anything else.

What do you do with them?

Note: Magic has not been proven in this world. It is the same world you live in, but you have simply discovered that witches are real.

You are a pregnant woman, and your doctor has just given you some news. They found a rare gene in your developing fetus called the Saint gene.

This gene is extremely recessive, and it only appears once in many generations. If your child is born with it, they will become a peak human in every single way. They will have extraordinary intelligence, strength, speed, and a perfect immune system. Their body will be ideal in every sense. More importantly, every single person who has ever had this gene has grown up to be a deeply good person with very high levels of empathy.

Every one of them has created a golden age for humanity. They have ended major wars, advanced science and technology by huge leaps, and helped build a more fair and peaceful world. Each one has made contributions that improved life for billions of people for centuries afterward.

However, the same gene causes untreatable depression that grows stronger over time. Every single person born with the Saint gene has taken their own life as a young adult, usually in their twenties or early thirties, right after they have done their greatest work. There is a one hundred percent chance this would happen to your child too.

Your doctor says they can safely remove the gene from the fetus now with a simple procedure. If they do, your child will grow up healthy and live a normal life. But if you keep the gene, your child will almost certainly create another golden age that changes the world for the better in ways that help billions of people long after they are gone.

You can permanently decide whether this new technology will exist. If you say no, the invention will be destroyed and never created again.

Scientists have invented a machine that can completely brainwash a person. It rewrites their personality, beliefs, behaviors, and thoughts. It causes what feels like identity death. The person becomes someone entirely new.

In this test, you watched a five hour session on a convicted serial killer on death row. The inmate was strapped down and connected to futuristic machines. For five hours straight, he screamed in pain and cried out, "Get out of my head!" After the process ended, he had become a kind, peaceful citizen who would never hurt anyone again.

The only clear side effect is that he now smiles constantly and feels only positive emotions. Nothing else.

The machine works on anyone with one hundred percent success. It can force a person to believe new things, change their religion, alter their personality, or make them think and act however you want. Strong willpower makes the process take longer, but every human eventually breaks. The machine does not touch memories. It only changes personality, behavior, thinking, and beliefs.

If you approve this technology, it will replace the death penalty completely. Every person on death row will receive this brainwashing instead of execution.

You are visiting a poor country that your country and the rest of the world have oppressed for generations.

The world has bombed them, occupied their land, committed war crimes, used biological weapons against them, unleashed invasive species, and even released deadly genetically modified creatures on their territory. Life there has become almost unlivable.

While walking down the street, you see a young kid in rags screaming at some soldiers from your country. "I will tear you limb from limb! I will burn your pathetic cities to the ground!"

Suddenly you get a clear vision of the future. This kid will grow up to become a threat like Eren Jaeger from Attack on Titan. He will free his people from genocide and save their entire culture, but only by wiping out most of the human race in order to stop this endless cycle of hatred and oppression forever.

If you do anything to stop his hatred of the outside world, the future will change. He will fail, his people will be completely exterminated, and their culture will be wiped out. But if you do nothing and let him follow this path of hate, he will succeed in saving his people while destroying most of humanity.

You discover a lion cub in the wild that was abandoned by its mother. The cub is going to die from starvation if nobody helps it.

The cub was born with a neurological condition that affects how it thinks and behaves. It is much less intelligent than a normal lion, it's completely non-aggressive, and is unusually friendly. Because of this condition, if it somehow reached adulthood in the wild, it would still refuse to hunt and would eventually starve to death.

In this hypothetical, you know for certain that if you rescue the cub and raise it yourself, it will never attack or kill a human. You are also given full legal permission to keep the lion.

If you leave the cub where it is, it will die from starvation.

You are a universal blood donor, and your blood has unique magical healing properties that cannot be copied, recreated, or reproduced by science.

If any amount of your blood enters another person's body, it will completely heal them. It does not matter how they receive it. A blood transfusion, an injection, or even simply drinking your blood will have the same effect.

Your blood instantly restores the body to perfect health. It can cure any illness, disease, injury, genetic condition, birth defect, disability, or mental illness. Missing limbs are fully regenerated, damaged organs are repaired, and any condition that negatively affects a person's health or quality of life is permanently removed.

No scientist, doctor, laboratory, or technology can recreate the healing effects of your blood. The power exists only within your blood itself.

The entire world knows who you are and what your blood can do. Your existence and abilities are public knowledge. However, governments around the world have agreed not to imprison, experiment on, or force medical procedures on you without your consent. Your legal rights are fully protected, and no government will violate them.

You are not completely safe. While governments will respect your rights, desperate people, criminal organizations, cults, and others may try to obtain your blood by any means necessary.

The entire world has passed a special international law aimed only at you.

You have suddenly gained real superpowers so overwhelming that every country on Earth had to work together and agree on one universal rule just to deal with you. After emergency meetings at the United Nations, all nations signed a new global treaty. The law has two main parts.

First, it is now illegal for you to enter any country without getting official permission in advance from that government. If you cross any border without approval, it is automatically treated as an act of war against that nation and the entire international community.

Second, the treaty requires you to obey the will of the global community. You must never use your powers for evil, harm, or personal gain that hurts others. You are expected to act responsibly and respect human laws even though no military, weapon, or group on the planet could actually force you to do anything.

How do you respond to the United Nations?

If you woke up one day and found yourself living in the DC Universe. What would you do?

Your daily life is completely normal. All your friends and family still exist, your personal history is unchanged, and your social life is exactly the same.

The only difference is that you wake up one morning and discover that the DC Universe is real. Superman exists. Batman exists. Wonder Woman exists. The Justice League exists. You turn on the news and see reports about Superman saving people around the world. You hear about Clark Kent being a famous journalist, and instead of Elon Musk becoming the world's first trillionaire, it's Bruce Wayne.

You also retain all of your real world knowledge about DC characters and their secret identities. For example, you know that Batman is Bruce Wayne and that many other heroes have secret identities.

Would anything about your life change? Would you try to use that knowledge for personal gain, expose secret identities, blackmail someone, or would you simply continue living your life as normal?

You're offered 50 million dollars or the chance to get a real formula for creating magic spells.

If you pick the formula, a special kind of tree starts growing all over the world. These trees spread naturally, but never cause problems like taking over land or hurting the environment. The first tree appears right on your property. It produces a special sap that you turn into ink. Once you make that ink, the full formula for spells enters your mind like a clear set of instructions.

Here is how the spells work: you draw them using the special ink on paper, on clothes, or on objects. Every spell has three parts. First, you draw a central sigil that sets the main power, like fire, water, earth, wind, or light. Next, you add signs around it. These signs change how the power acts, such as making it bigger, sending it in a direction, or making it last longer. Finally, you draw a ring that almost closes around everything. The spell stays inactive until you finish the ring. You see a bright glow when it starts working properly. If you leave any gap in the ring, the spell does nothing at all. This lets you prepare drawings ahead of time and activate them later by closing the last line.

You can invent any kind of spell, in theory. Simple ones, like making a small light, are easy to figure out. More powerful ones, like healing serious wounds or controlling the weather, get much harder, and less likely to work the stronger they are. Something like becoming all-powerful is possible, but so unlikely that it might take many lifetimes of trying. Still, with enough time and creativity, someone could discover the exact right sigil and signs that make it work. The system allows any effect because the signs combine in endless ways, and your intent guides what you test.

To reuse a spell you have already drawn, you keep the original drawing safe. When you want to use it again, you simply finish the ring if it is not closed, or you point the drawing toward your target and command it to activate. You can command it verbally to activate, or mentally to activate.

Would you take the 50 million dollars or go for the magic formula?

Edit: You're the only one who can use it because you know the formula

Would you give up on your child's childhood so they can pursue their dream?

Your child has always dreamed of becoming a witch or wizard. In this world, magic is real. Anyone can learn it, but it's a closely guarded secret that most people never discover.

Witches and wizards only take apprentices who are under 13. Once a child starts training, they leave their family completely. You would not see or speak to them again until they turn 21, when their education ends. These magic users are generally good people. They protect the innocent, keep the peace, and heal the sick. You would never have to worry about your child being abused or mistreated.

The downside is you would completely miss their childhood and teenage years.

Your eight-year-old has just met a witch who is actively looking for an apprentice. Your child is begging for your permission to go with her. This is an extremely rare opportunity. If you say no, your child will never get another chance to learn magic. They will never stop dreaming about it. It is not a phase. This is their genuine lifelong passion. Saying no would crush that dream forever.

If you say yes, you will not see your child again for thirteen years.

Is it morally okay to end all human curiosity?

You're handed a box. If you open it, humanity instantly gets perfect knowledge of everything. Every cure for every disease appears in our minds. All the deepest answers to philosophy, science, and the universe become clear at once. We would know if anything supernatural truly exists. Every possible discovery in biology, physics, chemistry, and beyond would be ours.

There is no way to pick and choose. Opening the box gives us all of it, with nothing held back. Science as we know it ends. Curiosity dies because there are no more questions left to answer. Humanity reaches perfection in knowledge, but there is no more room for exploration, improvement, or wonder. The search that has driven us for thousands of years simply stops.

What do you think? Is it morally good to do this? Would you open it?
