Impressed by NTE as a New Player, Also Need Hotori Advice
Hi everyone,
I started playing NTE about 9 days ago and absolutely loving it so far. I still can’t believe how much content there is especially the side quests. Some of them take over an hour and actually have great storylines. Coming from Crimson Desert (which I also loved), where side quests were mostly go there, pick this up, come back this has been a huge surprise in the best way.
I’m about to hit HL30 and I’m finally starting to get the hang of things, but I’m still running my starter team: Zero, Mint, Edgar (just for the heal) and Haniel. Honestly, I haven’t had trouble clearing any content yet but I’m ready to start investing into a stronger long-term team.
Right now I’m:
- 60/90 on the Hotori banner with enough currency for about 50 more pulls
- 70/90 on the regular banner with enough for another 20 pulls (also lucky that my last pull was on the space right before the bridge for the good stuff)
- Still haven’t used my selector because I didn’t want to rush into something I’d regret later
I’m really tempted to pull for Hotori because she looks amazing and her kit seems super fun. The only thing holding me back is that I keep seeing she's best in Nanally teams and unfortunately I started the game right after the banner ended.
So my main question is:
- Would you still recommend pulling Hotori without Nanally?
- Is there an alternate Hotori team that can still handle endgame content?
- Should I use my selector now or keep saving it for later?
For reference:
- I’m not very interested in Lacrimosa after trying her in the story
- I’d love to get Akane eventually but no idea when she’ll release (that quest line was absolutely amazing)
- I haven’t unlocked Chiz yet but I’m getting close
