This quilt has absolutely kicked my tail, but the quilt top is finally done. Tuesday I'll pick out the backing fabric, and hand it over to the long armer.
I know the couple I'm making it for are going to love it, but it's definitely not going to be done in time for their baby shower. So they'll get a photo of the quilt top, and an IOU at their baby shower.
I'm so proud of how this quilt is coming along. It reminds me so much of the mountains in my home state. (Just don't look too closely at my points.🤫)
I know the colors don't create a smooth gradient from green to blue, but I feel like it captures the way mountains fade into the blue sky as they get farther away we'll enough. Plus this quilt is coming together quicker than I expected.
I made this Super Nova quilt for my Mom, and got it done just in time for Mother's Day. Mom loves purple, and bold patterns. This quilt definitely took me out of my comfort zone. But I love how it turned out.
This was also my first time sending a quilt to a long-armer, and I couldn't be happier. Thank you Finally Together Quilt Shop for your amazing work.
