MECH 16 I9 13900HX/RTX 4090
Hi,
Fairly new to this, so please bear with me. I recently got this laptop, and the previous owner treated it like trash they messed up the thermal putty, removed the liquid metal, and pasted it with garbage.
I replaced the thermal putty today with Thermal Grizzly Advanced Putty and applied PTM7950 to both the CPU and GPU.
Temps seem to be doing a bit better; however, this might be a dumb question, but when I hook up the LPP, the laptop fans slow down to almost zero, and the laptop itself gets pretty hot to the touch near the top of the keyboard.
I don't have much expertise, but I would like to get the fans running at least around 50% or so to expel the hot air better.
I have undervolted the CPU cores to a -165mV offset and the ring to -60mV. The GPU occasionally boosts to 2,400MHz in The Witcher 3 Remaster, which is definitely higher than before, but the temperatures are rising because of this.
Basically, I would like better temps if possible. Any advice?
