I want to share this thoughts. The bands that feature a moving ballad are the ones that attracted the most fans, because nu-metal is a style also listened to by people who focus on vocal melody rather than worrying too much about musical quality. This implies there is no universally recognized objective standard, yet anyone can have their own reasons for creating their own ranking. In that sense, taste is objective—because it is based on reasons rooted in what moves you. Ordinary people tend to value only what stirs their emotions, as they may not fully grasp the deeper power of music; this creates the appearance of subjectivity, since the emotional melody is often valued over the underlying musical elements that actually evoke that emotion.

I think the first Coal Chamber album has the perfect distortion, without being too aggressive like Life Is Peachy; that darkness relaxes me with weed . Also, the first three albums by (Hed) p.e. are reminiscent of California.
