Using lowercase for white should not be tolerated

As many of us already know, outlets like the New York Times, the Associated Press, and many others in the mainstream still insist on lowercasing “white” while capitalizing Black and other racial identities.
Who cares, right? There are more important matters to focus on. But that’s missing the point. This seemingly small choice perfectly captures the core essense of the woke project. It was never truly about lifting up disadvantaged groups through practical improvements like stronger education or stable families. Instead, it focused on diminishing the perceived privileges of others, framing “whiteness” itself as the problem that needed dismantling. Had the effort stayed positive and additive, it might have gained broader support. What actually unfolded was a drive to tear down the supposed oppressors.
The result has been a generation of young people left anxious and ashamed over traits they were born with. Wokeness as a broader movement is largely discredited and seen as cringe today. Even so, these lingering habits deserve to be challenged and eliminated with the same determination we applied to the rest of it. Wokeness was petty, evil, tribal, and illogical. Push back hard wherever it is found.

The ABA eliminating its DEI mandate marks the beginning of the end.

The American Bar Association has voted to repeal the requirement compelling law schools to integrate DEI into admissions, faculty hiring, and curricula.

Lawyers are professional rhetoricians trained to construct persuasive arguments from untenable positions. They routinely succeed in reframing reality itself, up is down, blue is red. Yet this cohort, of all people, proved unable to mount a coherent defense against the straightforward observation that DEI institutionalizes racial discrimination under the guise of equity and operates as a mechanism of exclusion.
When even the legal profession abandons the effort to justify it, the ideological edifice begins to crumble. The precedent will reverberate through corporate suites, universities, and public institutions. The emperor stands exposed, and those best equipped to clothe him have declined. We have reached an inflection point.
Allow me to conclude my post with this little jingle.
Nah nah nah nah, na nah nah nah, hey hey, goodbye.

Honest conversations are nearly impossible on Reddit

Helicopter parentesque like rules, karma incentives, herd mentality and bots, brigading , report culture push everything into the vaguest generalities. Every post has to be written as if walking on eggshells, tap dancing around the truth. You hint at patterns and imply outcomes, but you rarely get to name things directly without risking reports, downvotes, or removal for “generalizations” or worse.
Of course, many have learned to exploit and skirt the rules. They simply use deceptive mislabeling or coded language to say what they want while staying just inside the lines. The rest of us end up self-censoring, sanitizing and diluting our comments to the point that they are rendered meaningless
This setup does not create kinder or more accurate conversations. It creates shallow ones where everyone is performing safety instead of seeking clarity. It affects all kinds of topics. I get it though. Those LLMs are not going to train themselves and ad revenue is a necessity.

Protesters shouldn’t wear masks

In many of these totally organic protests, one can’t help but notice that many participants are wearing masks. They are not merely covering their mouths but essentially their entire faces, rendering them unidentifiable. I believe this poses a significant safety risk and should not be allowed. After all, if these protests are truly righteous, morally justified, and simply about raising awareness, then the participants shouldn’t be ashamed to show their faces. Not everyone can handle anonymity in a mature fashion and therefore some restrictions to prevent illegal activity are warranted .

Left icons are mostly takers and failures (Marx, Floyd, Mangione, AOC) while the right admires actual producers like Musk and Sowell

Disclaimer. To satisfy the rules of this sub, this post in no way criticizes women collectively. I’m not sure why I am even getting a warning about this

Let’s examine some of the figures on the left whom many on the left admire or idolize, and compare them with those generally admired on the center or right.

  1. Karl Marx. Marx was the textbook definition of a basement dweller. Had he lived today, he likely would have spent 18 hours a day playing video games while high, collecting disability for PTSD or some other claimed condition. He could barely hold a job, disliked bathing, stayed constantly in debt, and relied on financial support from family members and friends like Friedrich Engels. He failed to adequately support his own children, two of whom died by suicide.
  2. George Floyd. I won’t dwell on the details here (Reddit tends to forbid this), but robbing a pregnant woman at gunpoint was not beneath him.
  3. Luigi Mangione. Yes, that’s right—they’ve turned a murder suspect into a folk hero.
  4. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC). Her only real pre-political job was as a bartender. She somehow became a U.S. Representative and helped chase Amazon out of New York by opposing the company’s HQ2 project, apparently failing to distinguish between a tax incentive (not taking money) and the government directly subsidizing a company.
In contrast, here are some figures on the center or right who are widely admired:
    • Elon Musk — A prolific job creator who has generated over 150,000 direct and indirect jobs through his companies. A serial innovator whose work in electric vehicles, space travel, AI, and neural technology has materially improved (or has the potential to improve) society.
    • Thomas Sowell — Widely regarded as one of the most respected intellectuals of our time, with a long career of rigorous, data-driven scholarship on economics, race, and culture.
    • Christopher Rufo, Ben Shapiro, and Douglas Murray — Influential thinkers and writers known for challenging prevailing cultural and political narratives with detailed arguments and evidence.
In short: takers on one side, producers on the other.

Dogs are noble beings. Oh yes they are.

There is a famous monument in Newfoundland inscribed with the following tribute written in 1808 by Lord Byron. Near this Spot are deposited the Remains of one who possessed Beauty without Vanity, Strength without Insolence, Courage without Ferocity, and all the Virtues of Man without his Vices. This Praise, which would be unmeaning Flattery if inscribed over human Ashes, is but a just Tribute to the Memory of BOATSWAIN, a DOG, Who was born in Newfoundland May 1803 and died at Newstead Nov. 18th 1808.
This poem succinctly encapsulates the noble canine. I am deeply distrustful of people who do not like dogs. Likewise, Imam deeply skeptical of any religion that does not respect or cherish dogs. As always, there are exceptions. I understand if you have been bitten and now traumatized or allergic and so on, but as a general rule, those who mistreat or are cruel to dogs (or any animal for that matter), you likely have a dark soul.

Too many have become comfortably numb.

Marijuana is too easy to procure. Sure, technically it is not legal, but it is easy enough to procure that it has effectively become de facto legalized. I am going to lay out just the basic facts and explain why this hurts…society.
Marijuana demotivates people. Instead of striving for greatness, it pushes users toward slothfulness and playing video games in the basement. It affects memory and causes medical issues such as cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome. I’m sure many chronic users out there are very aware of this. It is also a gateway drug toward even more dangerous substances.
The other issue is this: Why can’t chronic abusers go three minutes without being high? Why does every corner of NYC need to smell like a marijuana dispensary? Can’t you people just use it in the privacy of your own basements?
Stop smoking marijuana, people. Get back on your feet again.

Caning would benefit society

A recent trip to Japan reinforced this feeling. A polite, orderly society is far more preferable than what we have in many parts of the west. We can have those things as well provided we introduce some small measures of negative reinforcement. Some punishable offenses would be as follows

Protesting by gluing yourself to the street - caning
Being a public nuisance as an influencer, auditor - that’s a caning
Petty theft- definitely caning
Blasting music in your car early in the morning - caning
Having those “in this house signs ” on your front lawn - possible caning after first warning

Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, at least in my view, is the greatest piece of music ever produced. Grief, despair, and reluctant acceptance are all palpable and brilliantly written in a way that is impossible for words to truly describe. No words are needed to convey his deepest and most personal thoughts and feelings. The music tells the full story. Van Gogh’s works convey a deep sense of emotive genius in a similar vein. This is not to say one needs to be miserable to produce great works of art. Bach, to the best of my knowledge, seemed relatively happy and well adjusted and produced some of the most brilliant, mathematically beautiful pieces of music ever written. I just think the tortured soul brings something extra, difficult to convey in the written language.

  1. The Woke Era – Tribal, incomprehensibly stupid, and illogical. Likely a psy-op designed to erode social cohesion.
  2. Cabbage Patch Kids Craze – Swarms of buzzing, gyrating, uncontrollable masses of NPCs in a frenzy to buy overpriced mass-produced dolls from sweatshops.
  3. Pet Rock Era – Self-explanatory.
  4. The Protest Era – Non-organic weekly causes du jour, clearly funded by outside interests. The signal mainly hits the mindless hordes, the bored, the elderly, and validation seekers.
  5. Man buns—no, you’re not some brooding, rugged yet philosophical samurai temporarily working at Starbucks until your podcast takes off.

In all fairness, I don’t feel too strongly about item 5 and would probably grow one myself If I were a little younger and could lol.

No disrespect intended here. Many of my coworkers are of Indian descent, and I have nothing but respect and admiration for them, their values, and their culture.
But the music… my God, the music.
There are undoubtedly other genres, but I’m mainly referring to the style that sounds like little chipmunks singing on a scratchy record. Just awful.
Anyway, that’s my shower-thought unpopular opinion for today. Carry on.

Hear me out before the trigger finger hits the downvote.
Elon Musk is not hoarding wealth. He is not living in a jewel-encrusted castle with golden toilets and leopard-skin sofas. His net worth is almost entirely locked into the companies he founded and runs. Together, these companies employ well over 150,000 people.
These high-tech businesses provide high-paying jobs, support local economies (even in unappreciative places like California), pay substantial taxes, and benefit humanity at large. Elon’s wealth is not idle cash sitting in a bank. It is equity in active companies that produce vehicles, launch rockets, develop AI, and advance new technology. The high valuations exist only because those companies continue to deliver results.
I often hear scholars on Reddit suggesting he should simply liquidate his assets and feed the poor. Selling his shares would create a twofold problem. First, the sudden supply would drive share prices down sharply. Valuations would fall, making it far harder to fund new factories, research, or expansion. Growth would slow. Hiring would stall, and layoffs would inevitably follow. Suppliers, contractors, and entire communities tied to these operations would suffer from the downstream effects.
Second, losing large portions of his shares would mean losing control of his companies. He could end up at the mercy of woke boards that could potentially steer them in directions that destroy everything he built.
Practically speaking, it makes far more sense for Elon to stay the course: continue donating billions of dollars as he already does, while maintaining control of his companies and driving innovation forward.

Ok, now you can downvote
