I got my first ID when I was 17 years old in 1999… I remember them asking for my weight and me lying and saying “180” with the goal of losing the 10-15 pounds I needed for that to be true. Surely I would… any day now…. Welp… queue today! The weight (that they never bothered to change despite it getting to nearly 350 at some point!) finally matches my ID FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER! Finding this old ID 2 years ago was actually my catalyst for seeking out Zepbound. It’s surreal that 2 years later, I weigh less than that crazily pale girl in that picture. 🥲
I told my husband that I wanted to go and get a new drivers license, even though it doesn’t expire for 2 more years and he can’t understand why… I genuinely don’t look much like my old one in my opinion; and while I don’t always hate the “oh wow- you’ve lost weight” comments that I get when people look at it, sometimes, I’d like to just get my bottle of wine in peace. lol Has anyone else made a point of getting new ID’s and such because you just don’t want to be compared to your old self anymore?
