I'm 13 and made a private AI legal assistant for lawyers — no data ever leaves your Mac

Same body for both:

Hey everyone,

I'm 13 and I've spent the last few months building Vaultr — a private AI legal assistant for lawyers that runs 100% on your Mac. No cloud. No data ever leaves your machine.

The problem I'm solving: lawyers using ChatGPT or Harvey risk losing attorney-client privilege. A US court recently ruled that lawyer-AI conversations lost privilege because the provider could retain and share client data. Vaultr solves this architecturally — everything stays local.

Vaultr gives lawyers two modes:

Private mode — runs 100% locally via Ollama. Nothing ever leaves your machine. Models: Phi-4 Mini, Qwen3 8B, Gemma 8B, Gemma 21B.

Cloud mode — more powerful models when needed (Llama 3.3 70B, Qwen3 32B via Groq, Gemini 2.5 Flash). Lawyer chooses when to use this.

What it does:

  • Contract risk scanning
  • Auto redaction of sensitive information
  • AI legal assistant (Lex) for legal questions
  • Web search for real-time legal info

Still in beta — looking for lawyers to try it for free and give honest feedback.

Waitlist: tally.so/r/D4MvAZ

Would love brutal feedback from this community!
