2017 Elantra keeps stalling at low speeds and stop and go traffic
My mechanic and I are going absolutely crazy over this issue: my 2017 Elantra GL with 100k KM keeps stalls in stop and go traffic, when slowing down, when approaching a speed bump and when taking the foot off the gas pedal going uphill (aka slowing down).
So far we checked the air intake hose, all clear. Cleaned the throttle body, all clear. Changed the crankshaft monitor sensor. And the issue persists. Changed spark plugs, issue persists. Oil Change done at every 5-6k KM.
It doesn’t do it all the time, sometimes I can drive for a good 35 minutes in traffic before it happens. Sometimes it will happen 3-4 times on a 10 minute drive.
Anyone can point me in a direction? I’m tired of sinking money into this issue, love this car, been driving it for 7 years and I don’t want to change it because I’m kinda broke rn.
Would the Hyundai dealership have any better diagnostic tools or knowledge than my mechanic ? I kinda don’t trust them because they tried to fuck me at the buyback
