Apologies for this being post sanding but is anyone able to identify this slab?
I’m going to be making a live edge end table out of this white oak cookie. It has lots of termite tracks in it and they are filled with dense saw dust (I’ve scraped a few out with a pocket knife). I’ve never encountered this problem before and would appreciate advice.

I picked this up from a friend. I’m thinking it’s maple but I’m not sure. Its 4” thick x 21” diameter.
