Kershaw torsion spring reliability?

I have a Kershaw 1985ST assisted-opening knife, bought in 2016. It's not used as a fidget toy but as a mostly reliable handyman tool/box opener. I might flick it open maybe 2X per day on average. But I am now replacing my second fractured torsion bar. Kershaw warranty replaced it first time in 2020 (4 years since purchase) and they also did a nice job returning a very sharp blade with the repair. Now 2026 (6 years since torsion bar #2), it's broken again. This time I just requested Kershaw send me several replacement torsion bars and will do my own repairs. I like the Kershaw brand, warranty, and customer service, but man, this is the only knife I own with such needy maintenance. I've destroyed knives through misuse and not counting those, but I have never had to repair any other knife internals in my 60 years. Question: is the torsion bar a sub-par design, or is Kershaw spring metallurgy a problem, or am I seeing Chinesium effects? Wondering if I should just move on from torsion bar designs, or Kershaw brand itself? This knife was made in China.
