Only got 1 dry ounce from the first flush across two 18 qt bins. The fruits came in sporadically, some nice robust singular ones, some tiny ones, some clusters of smallish ones.

Also, I started harvesting by pulling them, but they were ripping out big chunks of sub, so I switched to cutting them.

This flush is coming in more consistently. I soaked the cakes for a couple of hours and they started pinning for the second round within 2 days.

Looking forward to seeing what I get, and how many flushes…

Got two 16qt tubs going. Getting some clusters of tiny side pins. I put a casing layer on both last night. Flipped the lid on one, put the other one open in a SGFC to see if one works better than the other since I’ve been reading that these want a lot of FAE.

Not sure if I can keep the humidity up in the SGFC or enough FAE in the monotub. Also not sure if I can keep the temps warm enough as they’re in my closet in my house.

Sub is just coir and verm.

Any advice or thoughts on what to expect are appreciated!

Finally got back in the game after a long break. These are just landrace ochras. I had tried some black cap and green cap ones, but the greens stalled out in the bag, and the blacks got trich after S2B.

These ones ripped through the grain, colonized the sub fast, and didn’t take long to fruit.

Yes I realize I have side pins and yes I know I can use a liner to reduce them.

I’ve got two tubs running right now, both of them have some of this going on. Can’t tell if it’s metabolite or mycogone or what. I’ve never had mycogone before, but it’s been a while since I saw heavy metabolite secretion so I’m not sure what I’m looking at.

Not noticing any really “off” odor or anything.

Any help as to what it might be or what I might be able to do about it would be appreciated!

This is a landrace culture, after failed attempts with both green cap and black cap phenotype cultures. Both of those were slow to colonize the grain - green cap stalled out completely and black cap was very slow to colonize the sub after S2B. Ended up getting trich and I had to toss them.

I don’t think I’m going to fw other phenotypes, sticking to these and I’ll do some agar work to isolate.
