Picnic. Garage Batch#010

Everyone get your blankets and baskets ready for your picnics.

This next garage is a colab with a winery or some crap?

A bit disappointed. I'm clearly not the target audience, I'm not a drinker, I figure leatherman people would drink box wine though.

Good luck to those who participate in trying to get one, ive failed to get any of the garage items, not even the announcement emails, but I bet I'll get one for this one in a couple weeks.

Worst leatherman since the ST 300.

Similar to "Alpha males" the wave alpha is a joke.

To preface, I own 30+ leatherman, including a coiple arcs, a dozen charges, wave and wave+, surge, skeletool, signal etc, and the charge tti has been my favorite for 10+ years, and my daily use tool. The wave alpha is essentially a charge, with a magnacut blade and scissors, minus the measurements on the frame. I figured it would be a nice addition to the collection.

The cons: The action is super stiff, the scales feel flimsy and it just doesnt feel like the quality of even the G10 charges before it.

The pro: the scissors are awesome, the awl is nice and the magnacut is a really cool profile. I prefer it compared to the arc blades.

I compare it to the ST 300 because although the loadout is great on them, the feel in the hand was terrible, the frame digging into my fingers/palms when putting any force into the pliers without gloves on. That and the bond being the only leatherman tools I've ever returned after buying.

Overall not a terrible thing, I wont return it but it wont get much use. I may tear it apart to mod a charge.
