Looking for a cat door. Will not be using sure flap as the reviews aren’t great. Partner is mainly concerned about wild animals making their way through the door and into the house.
Hey y’all. I’m having quite the dilemma.
My two year old male cat Schmitt has been going outside since he was six weeks old. He loves it, he craves it, and I love that for him.
Recently he has been going through some health scares, bald spot on his belly, cat acne, and diarrhea. The ticks and fleas are also especially bad here.
I deducted the bald spot to a possible tick bite, diarrhea to the food he was eating (it was meant for elderly) and have changed his bowls and cleaning routine to avoid further catne.
I’m still iffy on letting him outside bc the topical I gave him from the vet burnt him and made him lose more hair. He also has a semi open wound on his chin, and didn’t want to further that. So keeping him inside seems to be the best option?
However I fear I may just be causing him more stress and depression. Once he is fully healed up, I will be installing a cat door so that he can free roam in and out as he pleases.
Any ideas on how to keep his stress levels low while he heals indoors for probably another week or so?
