Thoughts on living in Culver City vs Los Feliz?

After a few posts about this, I think we (30s couple, born & raised east coasters moving to LA for the first time for work), have settled on living in Culver City vs Los Feliz. We haven't spent much time yet in either neighborhood and will be heading out to check out apartments/homes in a few weeks. Opinions on both or either neighborhood? What are their vibes? Pros/cons to either?

We're prioritizing a neighborhood that has great walkability to coffee shops/grocery stores/restaurants/workouts and is dog-friendly. We'd like to be close to the beach & LAX (CC) but 30ish minutes is fine if the tradeoff is Griffith Park & BUR (Los Feliz).

**Note** – Work is closer to Los Feliz but we may only be in LA for 1-2 years before moving back so we're looking for that quintessential LA life

Advice please! What's the best way to find a 2-3bd/1.5+bath home or apartment in Los Feliz?

30s couple moving to LA this fall (for the first time!) for my job at CHLA from the east coast cities (born & raised) and interested in renting a 2-3bd/1.5+ bath home or 1-2bd/1.5+bath apartment. We'll be visiting for a week late July or early Aug but then likely won't be back until we move again end of September. Any advice on how to best secure a place (Zillow, FB Marketplace, brokers, etc.)? We imagine things go fast.

Budget: roughly $3-$5.5k
Priorities: On-site parking for 2 cars (if street parking is easy then 1 car spot is fine), large dog-friendly (ESA-certified), in unit washer/dryer, & walkable in the immediate neighborhood to coffee shops/restaurants/shops/grocery stores/gym or workout classes

Thanks in advance everyone 😊

Advice? Moving to Culver City end of September 2026, looking for 1-2 bedroom

Moving cross-country from the east coast to LA for a job (at CHLA) this September. My fiance and I will be visiting and touring a few apartment buildings this summer. It'll be our first time living in LA so any advice welcome!

High priorities: 1 or 2 bedroom, walkable immediate neighborhood to coffee shops/restaurants/shops/grocery stores/gym or workout classes, large dog-friendly, in-unit washer/dryer, on-site parking. Bonus is if we could live \*closer\* to the beach and LAX than not

Budget: roughly $3,000-$5,500

We're open to other neighborhoods in LA if anyone has suggestions. We like the idea of Culver but vacancies in the buildings we're interested in seem to have very little turnover. Where should we look? Any help appreciated. :)
