Good beetle or bad beetle??

Good beetle or bad beetle??

Noticing quite a few on our milkweeds recently, anything to be concerned about? I know nearly nothing about predators to the cats we still don’t have (🥲) and I won’t get a chance to dig deeper myself for a few days

Anything I can do to help our little patch?! (W/ Pics)

Hey y’all,

Brand new here and looking to soak in any advice or recommendations!

I believe our milkweed patch started within the last 5 years and has really spread this year! And with it I have a couple questions I’d love any answers to.

  1. Mom doesn’t want it spreading further to the left of the first pic (taken a month or so ago) and into her flowers. I’m not much of a gardener but is there a safe way to relocate them? Should it be done early or at the end of the summer/ monarch season??? To the right of the frame the grass patch is sidewalk-ed off from the rest of the lawn so I was thinking of trying to let the whole area in the picture to be overtaken by milkweed?!

1b. If we are able to get this area to be mostly milkweed is there any helpful plants that could also go in the area for biodiversity? Also are there any plants we should avoid letting grow nearby that may outcompete the milkweed?

  1. Is there someway I can help plant more milkweed with these growing here? Like am I able to snag seeds from them at some point in time or is it really up to the pollinators?

Sorry for my horrendous formatting, posting from mobile! Thanks in advance for any tips or info <3
