I am looking to buy some new picks this week, my guitar came with some but I think they are too thick.
Which brand of picks do you like and recommend for a 3 month beginner?
I think learning to play the guitar with ADHD is both hard but also leans into the prefered learning methods of ADHD people.
Like I love the challenge and I will hyperfocus on learning something well.
But also the delayed gratification of it at times is hard.
Anyone else have the same experience?
Was it a person, a band, a song?
Mine was a few things, I think my friends when I was younger played and I felt left out. Also my grandad could play and now he has passed.
But what actually got me to buy a guitar and pick it up is a mixture of all of it.
I have come across so far 84 days into learning :) that there are standard chords, power chords and barre?
Are there any others to be aware of or you would recommend learning?
Thanks in advance :)
So the moment you have been practicing for is finally here…all those hours finally lead to this moment 😆
What band inviting you to play on stage alongside them would be a dream come true?…… more importantly could you hold your own?
Mine would be Less Than Jake…. And no I couldn’t play much…yet
Hey all just wondering. Do you think using a pick is a help or a hinder when first learning and starting out?
Ive been using Pickup Music, Songsterr and now Yousician and was wondering what everyones favourite is?
Thanks in advance 😄
If you were a beginner again, but with the knowledge you have now and $1500 to spend on your first guitar. What would you buy and why?
Bonus points for links and pics 😄
Hi all,
Thought I'd stop lurking and introduce myself.
I'm Niall from the UK and I'm on Day 76 of learning guitar. I started from complete zero and decided to record the whole thing publicly as a bit of a challenge.
Currently fighting with the C chord, questionable finger coordination and a complete inability to play anything at the speed my brain thinks I should be able to 😂
Still having a lot of fun though.
Just wanted to say hello and thanks for all the advice I've already picked up from reading posts here.
What do you wish someone had told you in your first few months of learning?
